One night a couple of weeks ago, I was awakened by a horrible calf cramp. If you've ever had one of these, you know the not-so-fun pain of these little muscle tightenings. I got them often while playing sports in college; however it has been quite a while since I've had one at all. This painful reminder of my lack of attention to eating and exercise habits got my attention, along with a report from the doctor that my cholesterol levels have seen better days. [ 396 more words ]

At one point today, I just stopped and laughed. It wasn't the text I got. That text was from a dear friend. It was the simple fact that it was the 200,000th question I had been asked today. Sometimes I realize that I just need to start writing. This is one of those times. Neglect, lack of focus, laziness... whatever you want to call it... has kept me from sitting still and typing out words from my heart.
