..if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 1 Peter 4:16

Often times Christians still feel the shame - “I’ve done something wrong” or “what did I do?” - when suffering comes.

Be assured, it’s not about you. ITS NOT ABOUT YOU.

There’s a promise God makes that when you now suffer it isn’t purposeless.
And suffering isn’t a punishment from God.

It is a part of this life on earth, and just as Jesus suffered, we too will suffer. We are in an age where suffering does still happen and until the consummation of Christ’s Kingdom it will remain. Don’t be surprised. But...

The joy now is that because Jesus suffered and sinned not, suffered and didn’t lash out in self-righteousness or vengeful anger or self-justification, we now have a life in Jesus whereby HE will live out those same attributes in us as we endure suffering through grace empowered SURRENDER to Jesus.

We have a King who when we let Him and desire Him to be enthroned in our lives-his rightful position-will miraculously reveal in new ways our absolute unity with his heart.

And in this way, if Jesus learned perfect obedience through suffering, so we will also.

Praise God. He will do it.

If you only love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even evil people love those who love them. -Jesus Christ, Son of God

Jesus then goes on to talk about expecting a return for what we give to people. Jesus shook the earth because he released the power of real love, which is God, to all people, and said I give to you everything even if you choose to give me nothing. He gave the power to people to trample on him. This is how one stays free from offense, when you submit to people in love empowering them to do what they will with your love, so at the time when they do something removed from love to you, you are still empowered in love towards them. Jesus loved those who rejected him.

This is freedom in Christ (Galatians 5:1). This is Christian living.

You are empowered by God to live in this place, Christian! Do it! Grab it and declare it! Believe it and reflect your Heavenly Father!

Before anyone asks, this recipe came from a preschool YEARS ago and it calls for Borax - this is completely safe and VERY different from Boric Acid - don't freak out!

Part 5:..well, we got my car started and and I took it to the auto shop for an electrical system check, then I got dropped off back home by a very kind man who works there. Started thinking about what we could do since I had a minute! It was now about 1 or so because somewhere in there I had stopped at the store to pick up some things. I called a friend to see what she was doing. I heard back that my alternator needed replacing! Over the next 2 and 1/2 hours, she came over to go out to eat with us and I spent most of that time trying to decide where to go, and another hour and a half more and another friend joined us and I finally decided on Ponchos down the street while Michael and David went to pay for my car and bring it home for about 450 dollars! 😳😬
Almost 5 and Ponchos, here we come! We had a wonderful dinner then off to the Game Room to learn how to play Munchkin, thanks to David! What a fun time! Finally ending with Yogurt Mill and home we went to hang out and enjoy good conversation! I am truly blessed!

Part 4?
The vet called me instead of David and they were ready to have them come in and so...I call David and send him in and Michael took me back and dropped me off to go in too! Great visit! The vet was very kind and clear and we got our appointment for cleaning and pulling teeth...finally! We are set up for next Friday, yay! Now its get home to drop them off and go to my (new) chiro (our long time one retired suddenly) in David's car. I made it right at 9:30 praise God! And a good 3rd adjustment, then back home to get my car to a mechanic (also new because our other one has gotten too busy!) Oh, oh...it isn't jump starting...

Part 3...much later:
Sooo, Friday morning, my birthday begins!
I got up early to get Lucy girl to her 4th vet in about 2 months trying to get her dental done. Walk in only for a first time visit. The day before would have been about a 3 hour wait so now we are thinking to get there by 7:30am might be 1 and 1/2 hour wait.
My car wouldn't start. We just got a new battery in it a couple of weeks ago! Doggone it! (Pun intended)😁
David got up and drove us and we got there about 7:45. About 11 people ahead of us!
We had his dad bring him his phone so they could call David when they were ready for Lucy. Decided I better go home because they thought it would be at least another hour and I had a 9:30 chiro appointment. So Michael would have to take me. Maybe I should cancel so I could be there with David and Lucy...?

Part 2:
So in this past week, my husband has been fully released from surgical limitations, praise God! It was less than 2 weeks post op, and he has healed well and was able to go back to work Thursday!
Thursday morning I met with a new dermatologist who is brilliant and kind and listened and explained. So another praise is I am feeling more confident in the next process needed to remove cancer that has invaded my skin! Fear is diminishing and trust in God is winning! Part 3 to come later after work!

Part 1:
In this life, through the greatest challenges, we can experience special treasures and joys! I've had a busy few weeks...I got past the worst of being sick to have our 21 year old son get sick and escalate to the point of taking him to urgent care 2 days in a row last Thursday and Friday. He was finally diagnosed...no strep, which they were sure he had. Not covid. He had mononucleosis, that comes from the Epstein Barr virus. Praise God, we have some natural remedies and he is doing amazingly well! In 1 week from picture 1 to picture 2! ❤🙏

Well, no pictures today. I'm hoping to get back on track soon. We've had 4 very busy weeks. I was sick for 2 1/2 weeks. David joined me for about a week! Then we were looking in to one of our pups getting serious dental work (still not finished with that) and my husband Michael had surgery for an inguinal hernia yesterday. Thanking God for all the care and prayers and love that we receive from family and friends. He is good, so we are good! Love and blessings to all!
