Cj Cherryh posted something about using 'karen' as a derogatory term and I, as usual, weighed in with a reminder that name calling used to be a bad behaviour. That we got detention for calling other kids names. And now its a fun spitting competition for all the family. I created a page to campaign against all name calling. And guess what? Facebook, that is, Meta has restricted the page as being 'against community standards'.

Let's think about that a minute. It is against Meta's policy for people to call for reducing abusive behaviour and language on Facebook. They put out press releases about FB being made safer by their algorithms, but at least one high profile user has posted that he was censoring his posts in FEAR of facebook hitting him with punishments. Meta is literally creating a climate of fear.

And what else have I had censored? Political satire about Donald Trump. A Kamala Harris support page (against community standards) was DELETED by facebook, and when I questioned them they retaliated by DELETING my Obama page. You do the maths, people. Facebook is not censoring anti-female material. It did censor me when I said that I would rather kill someone that submit to r**e.

A climate of fear and vitriolic spitting is what, according to some popular posters, is what gets the algorithms going. And yet quite innocent comments can get people punished for deliberately seeking 'spam' responses. WTAF?

And there is no-one replying at any level, even through media relations, except for someone who said that $100 he could get my pages back online. Oh, and reporting him got nowhere. Apparently using FB to run scams is all good fun in the Metaverse.

There's lies, damned lies, and deliberate misquotes. Did you know THIS is the full quote:
