On 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗹𝘀’ 𝗗𝗮𝘆, families gathered in cemeteries to commemorate deceased loved ones through the lighting of candles and the offering of prayers. The event followed traditions of solemnity, as everyone paid respects and shared memories in remembrance of those who had passed. 🕊️

The observance involved both younger and older family members, who visited graves to honor previous generations. This annual practice reinforced cultural values of respect and unity within families as they collectively recognized the memory of their ancestors.

Today, we celebrate 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀' 𝗗𝗮𝘆, a day where we gather to celebrate and remember the lives of the saints whose lives have inspired and encouraged us and the world around us. ✨

Their stories remind us that holiness can be found in everyday actions and that we, too, can be a light in the world. As we reflect on their teachings and sacrifices, let us strive to spread kindness and compassion wherever we go. Let us reflect on their legacies, honor their sacrifices, and live out our faith with courage and purpose. 🕯️

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | On October 28, 2024, the Eastern Visayas State University - Secondary Laboratory School held the Oath-Taking Ceremony for its newly elected Supreme Student Council Officers at the EVSU Mini Park. This solemn event marked the beginning of their journey to advocate for the student body, uphold student welfare, and foster an environment of academic excellence and camaraderie.

The ceremony was attended by faculty members, students, and school administrators who showed their support and encouragement for our new leaders. With their commitment to serve, these SSC officers are set to lead with integrity, responsibility, and dedication to the EVSU-SLS community.

The SLS community congratulates the newly inducted officers and looks forward to the positive impact they will bring through meaningful initiatives and dedicated service in the months to come.

𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗞𝗦 | During the EVSU-SLS Intramurals, titled “The Final Battle for Empyreal Power,” the SLS Media team set up a photo booth at the EVSU Science Building Audio Visual Room, naming it “Litrato Ni Bathala.”

Students visited the booth with friends, teachers, and loved ones to capture memories of this significant event—the final Intramurals for EVSU-SLS.

The SLS Media Team extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who stopped by and supported their booth.

𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 | The Eastern Visayas State University - Secondary Laboratory School Intramurals event continued on October 25, highlighting the Literary Musical Competition.

This event allowed students from each house—Apolaki, Mayari, and Tala—to display their skills in multiple categories, including solo and group singing, interpretative dance, and synchronized cheering. The performances were met with enthusiasm from both the audience and judges, who noted the creativity and dedication that each group brought to the stage.

The day’s competitive spirit extended to the courts, where students showcased their athletic abilities in badminton, E-Games, and ongoing basketball, volleyball, and table tennis matches.

The first day brought thrilling volleyball and basketball matches, accompanied by the opening of booths offering refreshments, merchandise, and interactive experiences for all attendees.

Students from each house—Apolaki, Mayari, and Tala—actively participated in every event, from chess and table tennis to traditional Laro ng Lahi and an Amazing Race that tested both strategy and teamwork. With enthusiasm running high, students are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the day's results as the competition continues.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗔 𝗪𝗿𝗮𝗽 | After an intense two-day showdown, Eastern Visayas State University - Secondary Laboratory School wrapped up its Intramurals, themed “Final Battle for Empyreal Power.”

The event featured a mix of sports and games, including basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and athletics. Students also engaged in chess, e-games, Laro ng Lahi, a literary musical competition, and a booth contest, bringing both athleticism and creativity to the forefront.

𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿 & 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗺𝗲 | The Eastern Visayas State University - Secondary Laboratory School wrapped up the second day of its Intramurals event, themed “Final Battle of Empyreal Power.”

This day of activities included the Literary Musical Competition, where students from each house showcased their vibrant talents in singing and dancing, along with enthusiastic cheers. The first day of the event began with volleyball and basketball matches, followed by the official opening of booths. The schedule then continued with additional sports and activities, including chess, table tennis, Laro ng Lahi, and the Amazing Race.

The students eagerly anticipate the remaining events over the final two days of the Intramurals, determined to compete and fight for victory.

The Grade 12 students warmly welcomed Dr. Grace N. Camasin, Principal of the Secondary Laboratory School, and Dr. Jovito B. Madeja, Dean of College of Education, at their Teachers’ Day event.

𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 | Tacloban City Mayor Alfred Romualdez has issued Executive Order No. 2024-10-62, declaring a city-wide cancellation of all classes in Tacloban City tomorrow, October 2, 2024, in observance of World Teachers' Day.

Furthermore, University President Dennis De Paz has released a memorandum suspending all classes at Eastern Visayas State University - Main Campus.

In line with this, classes at the Secondary Laboratory School will be suspended and will resume on Thursday, October 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, offices at the Eastern Visayas State University will remain open for transactions despite the class suspension.

Please be guided accordingly.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Eastern Visayas State University - Secondary Laboratory School successfully held its Supreme Student Council (SSC) election today, September 19, 2024, following a brief yet impactful campaign.

In just one three-hour session, candidates visited classrooms to introduce themselves and share their platforms.

Despite the limited campaign period, students actively participated in the voting process, selecting leaders who will represent their voices and lead initiatives for the upcoming school year.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The candidates for the Eastern Visayas State University - Secondary Laboratory School Supreme Student Council (SSC) kicked off their room-to-room campaign earlier today, September 19, 2024, within the campus’ Science Building.

Aspiring student leaders visited each classroom, introducing themselves and engaging with both students and teachers.

This gave the student body the opportunity to meet the candidates, get to know their platforms, and make informed decisions about their future leaders.
