A brilliant day exploring Norwegian Dawn. We were privileged enough to be taken on an extensive behind the scenes tour of what it takes to make a ship like Norwegian Dawn tick. My highlight was the laundry room which will blow your mind and of course, being invited on to The Bridge to chat with Captain.
I have a newfound respect for every crew member who work tirelessly, months away from home, to ensure guests have an amazing experience. Many of them are seeking adventure, many are taking a gap year before deciding what they want to do. Many have worked as crew for years, with a clear career path in place. For many, this is a way to ensure their families are taken care of, so that they can have a better life.
There are so many nationalities onboard and I've loved listening to their stories and passion for the job. They haven't had an easy week with a delayed embarkation, but here they are, smiling and bending over backwards to show us a world class time. I think that is incredibly special.
