Today’s team member spotlight is Sarah Phillips!

Sarah currently attends the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy (FIEA) where she works as the Project Lead of Bloodsong, a pitch-matching dungeon crawler featuring death metal undersea sirens. Previously, Sarah attended the University of San Diego, obtaining a BA in Liberal Studies with a Concentration in Theatre, as well as her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. She also holds a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English. After 7 years of teaching upper elementary and middle school in Los Angeles, she decided to pursue graduate study in game design. Her future goals include a career as a Narrative Designer or Story Lead within the interactive entertainment industry, as well as someday restoring a historical home. She loves going to the beach, cooking, and playing with her rescue kitten, Norbert.

Today’s team member spotlight is Lil Riggleman!

Lil is Lead Systems Designer for Bloodsong. She likes data-driven design, and is leading the playtesting efforts for TOTC. Before FIEA, Lil was a project manager for the U.S. intelligence community and a whiskey distiller. Eventually, she plans to become a Creative Director of a gaming company. Her personal interests include whiskey, basketball, and cosplay.

Today’s team member spotlight is Adriano Diaz!

Adriano is a Technical Designer, and Lead Designer on Bloodsong. He works collaboratively across teams to create the project roadmap, game mechanics, and build the world of Bloodsong. Adriano's goal is to enter industry as a combat designer and one day become a Lead Designer at a AAA studio. His interest outside of games include food, travel, and scuba diving.

Today’s team member spotlight is Hannah Martinez!

Hannah is a lighting and 3D artist at FIEA. She works on lighting and environment on Bloodsong and wants to break into the industry as a lighting artist. Her personal interests includes her dogs, Star Wars, and putting as many lights on her desk as aesthetically possible. She has also just received her M.S. in Visualization from Texas A&M.

Today’s team member spotlight is Amritha Immaneni!

Amritha is a Technical Artist with a love for scripting tools and creating VFX. She works on procedural tools, integration and VFX for Bloodsong. A future goal of hers is to leverage her previous experience with AI to automate pipelines. Outside of being a TA, she loves cats, sings and plays the guitar, and is never going to stop being addicted to Pokemon.

Austin is a producer at FIEA, however, on Bloodsong he works as a Motion Capture Technician and Animator. A future goal of his is to enter either the film or gaming industry as a Mocap Technician. His personal interests outside of gaming are playing soccer and experimenting with new recipes.

Today’s team member spotlight is Bailee Blaylock!

Bailee is on the technical art track at FIEA and is specializing in character/prop rigging. On Bloodsong, she works as the team’s designated character rigger, creating both control rigs and mocap skeletons. In addition to her rigging and animation pipeline responsibilities, she is the Social Media Manager and Content Curator for Three Owls in a Trench Coat Studios! One day, she would like to work as a Technical Director for a studio and eventually create a game entirely on her own to solidify her knowledge of game development. In her free time, Bailee enjoys reading fiction, playing simulation games, attending conventions, and watching her favorite animated tv shows.

Today’s team member spotlight is Matthew Cummings!

Matthew is a software engineer, gameplay programmer, and tools programmer at FIEA. He works on implementing gameplay features and adapting Unreal Engine to team needs on Bloodsong. He aims to be a tools programmer in the industry, and also has interests in working with designers to realize designs in-engine. Eventually, he hopes to be a senior software technical architect. He has prior work experience at both Lockheed Martin and at Electronic Arts Tiburon, and uses that experience to augment his game programming technique with additional knowledge from other ends of the software industry. His personal interests include chess, board games, Magic the Gathering, hiking, disc golf, cooking, and trying new delicious foods.

It’s Mari Monday once again, and today we are showcasing our current enemy models, sculpts and textures, all created by our very talented Character Artist, Aimee Nilsson!

Our Hermit Crab, Nautilus and Angler Fish enemies were sculpted in Nomad and Zbrush and retopologized in Autodesk Maya with rigging in mind.
