He said further that, "the difference between the goal of a Muslim compared to a non-Muslim leader is that the Muslim leader has the desire to please Allah and to achieve success in this life and the hereafter".

To drive home his position, he gave some examples of good Muslim Leaders to include' Prophet Muhammad, and all of the other earlier Prophets (Peace Be Upon Them All), companions of the Prophet, like Umar ibn Al-Khattab, Khalid ibn Waleed, Aaisha bint Abi Bakr and Khadijah bint Khuwaylid, explaining how their exemplary leadership styles had positive influence on the Muslim Ummah and humanity in general.

He stated some additional qualities of Muslim leadership, which include open-mindedness and the ability to receive criticism, readiness to sacrifice, optimism (due to trusting in Allah), and patience"

Other qualities, according to him are, Pulling Up Fellow Muslim, rather than Stomping them down, showing Respect & maintaining the Dignity of those around, teaching and learning leadership through knowledge and removal of ignorance, gentleness and the desire to fulfill the responsibility

Our Correspondent reports that participants at the event were taken through a practical workshop on the topic of the presentation.

A lecturer from the Department of Computer Science, Lagos State University of Education, LASUED, Mr. AbdulHakeem Adedokun, speaking on the topic, Effective School Coordination, explained the essence of school coordination by MSSN, as an activity which focuses on getting the message of Islam across to students in school, adding that the objective of MSSN as an organisation is to make everyone a better Muslim, a true servant of Allah and an ambassador of Islam wherever they get to.

Another speaker at the event, mallam AbdulGhani Odu, who spoke on the topic, 'Personal Sense of Responsibility', described responsibilities as a trust on the bearer, and that every bearer of responsibility will be held accountable by Allah, who is the owner of the trust.

According to him, leaders can not be successful except they turn challenges to horses that they ride to greater heights.
On the importance of the outcome of responsibilities, he said,'
'Whatever is not fruitful is known to be Barren. Therefore, you can't claim to understand your responsibility except with the outcome or desired fruits'. Such fruits from our gathering today is to have more students being informed about their being successful in life so that more good and Godly Leaders will surface to reduce the Hardships we are encountering in society.
