The most asked and common question which i am receiving this days is how much should i invest to start selling on Amazon India. Here, today i am revealing the exact amount which is required to start selling on Amazon. ⠀

I have started selling before 1.5 years on Amazon with almost NO KNOWLEDGE. I was not aware what products to sell or even how to sell on Amazon. Amazon Returns😱⠀
Amazon returns means all the product a customer wants to return back to the seller. Now this is the biggest challenge for any ecommerce seller to minimise it. Most of the ecommerce seller are unable to minimise their return ratio and end up in losses. ⠀

What is good return ratio?💪⠀
Any where about 2%-5% is a good return ratio. I personally have products with 1% return ratio, while most of the sellers on Amazon are facing as high as 15% to 30% return ratio. I believe these sellers are not taught well to calculate their profits as at the end they are making looses. ⠀

How to manage returns?⠀
All the return packages will be picked up from customers address and sent back to your address by Amazon. You just have to check that the product you have received back is in right condition and also the same product. ⠀
⠀
How Loss Occurs?⠀
Amazon charges 20% of commision fees on every returns plus also refunds complete order amount back to the buyer. That means you have lost up all the order amount plus you have lost shipping charges plus you have lost 20% Commision😱⠀

SAFE-T Claim is a tool made for safety of sellers. It can also be called as a protection layer for sellers to fight back fraud customers or buyers.⠀

Whenever a buyer returns the product back to seller with a intention to defraud the seller by sending a empty packet in return rather than the product a seller can file a SAFE-T Claim against buyer.⠀

What happens when a SAFE-T Claim is filed?⠀
When a particular seller files claim against a buyer an internal team of amazon check whether the claim is correct or false and reimburses amount to seller according to the intensity of fraud that has occured against seller. ⠀

Some people says Amazon is all about generic and non branded products while very few says it is about branded and private labelled products. Now i am going to reveal the real truth about the product which actually makes money on amazon for sellers. ⠀

According to a survey , Out of 5 Lakh Indian Amazon Seller more than 4 Lakh sellers do sell generic products with profit margin of 10 to 20%. While about 50K sellers have closed their account or are not even selling on amazon after opening account. And coming to remaining 40 to 50K sellers who dedicatedly focus themselves on selling Branded and Private Labelled Products With a Profit Margin Of 70 To 100%. ⠀

The biggest challenge for most of the Amazon Sellers is getting GTIN exemption for their brand. There are many questions coming from many Amazon sellers as well as my students about what exactly GTIN exemption is. Global Trade Identification Number is a unique number through which your product is identified. Now as you are not registered brand you will definately not have a GTIN on your product. So you means Amazon sellers will have to request amazon to grant an exemption for you to sell on amazon with the brand you have. ⠀
