So a lot of people ask me if i will appear for CSS again and i can't fathom how people just can't get over it. Matlab k i have moved on in life but somehow people can't.

For those who don't know, i took CSS in 2018. I passed the written and interview but wasn't allocated because of provincial quotas and luck maybe. Khair it happened, i was very heart broken and got into depression for a good couple of months since everybody was dead sure that there's nothing that can stop me from being an "Afsar". Some of my friends had even made plans of getting contracts and using my sarkari reference lol. But like many things in life, this also didn't go as planned.

It took me quite some time to recover but meanwhile i never stopped working. I had already taken admission in MPhil and was working as News Editor for . I switched my job and the industry, it was a refreshing experience. I made some great friends who really helped me through it. I realised that there are more things to life than this one exam.

CSS is greatly gratified in our society but has it's downsides too. The life of civil servants is not as glamorous as it appears to be, you struggle with transfers/postings, the system is deeply corrupt and it becomes difficult to survive if you don't go down that road, you're away from family, there's no peace of mind and most officers gradually lose their potential.

I am now at a good place in life and i am content with it. Yes the thought of trying again crosses my mind especially when I'm having a bad day, a lot of people encourage me but i simply cannot find the will and energy to do it. It's a long, anxiety-inducing process and i simply can't put myself through that again. Maybe some day i feel motivated enough to do it but not now. Not till this day.

But here's to growing and hoping for better things!

I have been feeling constantly drained and exhausted for a long time now. Reason i don't post regularly or make vlogs. And anybody i talk to has been feeling the same. Maybe it's the weather or the general Covid/lockdown situation these days.

At times i feel like I'm wasting time doing nothing productive but then i don't feel like i have the energy to do something. I don't know how long this phase is going to last given i go through them quite often but can only try getting back into action and that's what i keep pushing myself to do.

If you also feel the same, i just want to tell you that it's okay. It's okay if you're sleeping too much or not sleeping at all. It's okay if you feel good one moment and then very empty the next moment. Such is life these days. Hope we're able to get out of this survival mode soon and start living like we should or want to.

Meanwhile, let me know in the comments what you do to rejuvenate yourself. Sending love and prayers for all 🌸

Why do we blame mothers for everything that goes wrong with a child? Why do we expect mothers to be a goddess who can never make mistakes? Why do we want women to take care of children, be a good wife, look pretty and work all at the same time?

My thoughts on Abrar ul Haq's recent comments. If men have such a problem with how mothers bring up their kids, why don't they help them in doing the job better instead of remaining busy with their own "stuff".
