Latvian President Egils Levits supported the initiative to revoke citizenship for supporting the aggression of the Russian Federation

The law primarily concerns Russians living in Latvia.
"It is very difficult to reconcile people who believe that the entire nation of Ukrainians should not exist with our democracy. If such views are expressed in words or actions, of course, democracy must defend itself. And, in my opinion, this is the position of all democratic countries," he said.

On April 21, the Latvian Seimas supported the amendments to the citizenship law proposed by the Ministry of Justice, which provide a legal basis for depriving persons who support war crimes of Latvian citizenship. In particular, for financial, material, propaganda, technological, or other support to countries or persons who have committed acts (including genocide, crimes against peace, crimes against humanity, and war crimes) that undermine or threaten democracy, territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of states or their constitutional system.

The Baltic country currently has only 7500 active soldiers and national guardsmen, supported by 1500 NATO troops.

Highlights of the June, 26
Missile strikes, G7 meeting, Belarusian direction and new Russian crimes

🔥Russian Forces launched a missile strike on Kyiv. In the high-rise building hit by a Russian missile, three floors were partially destroyed. At least one person was killed and five others were injured in this attack, including a seven-year-old girl. 25 civilians were evacuated from this residential building after the attack.
Russian Forces shelled not only the residential buildings but also a kindergarten in Kyiv.

🔥Also, Russian Forces fired missiles at Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Chernihiv regions during the day.
🔻There were at least two explosions in Cherkasy. One person was killed and five others were injured in the attack. Infrastructure objects were damaged.

🔻Russian Forces targeted the Zelenodolsk community in the Dnipropetrovsk region with Grad multiple rocket launchers and artillery. As a result of the attack, residential high-rise buildings and a post office were damaged. At least two people were injured.

🔻Russian Forces have again fired missiles at Desna in the Chernihiv region. The strikes were carried out from the territory of Belarus using Х-22 rockets.

🔻Russian aviation launched a missile strike in the Odesa region.
"As a result of hitting a residential area of the village, several residential buildings and outbuildings were destroyed and caught fire in an estimated area of 500 square meters", the SES reported.
According to preliminary information, six people were injured, including one child.

⚔️Russian Forces continue to concentrate their resources on capturing the city of Lysychansk. Now the main goal of the Russian occupiers is to destroy and capture Lysychansk.

🌐As a result of G7 meeting, US President Joe Biden has announced that the G7 plans to ban imports of Russian gold, which brings Russia tens of billions of dollars.

🇧🇾🤝🇷🇺Russian Forces plan to increase the number of operational and tactical aircraft in Belarus.
This was reported by the Central Intelligence Agency of Ukraine.
Officially - to conduct a joint airspace patrol within the joint training and combat training center of aviation units and air defense units. To do this, a flight of 10 planes to Baranovichi airport is planned. Mobilization exercises have also been going on in the Gomel region since June 22.
Russia will also hand over Iskander-M missile systems to Belarus. Putin agreed with Lukashenko that Belarus would receive Iskander-M missile systems from Russia, which could carry missiles with nuclear warheads. The complexes may come into service in Belarus in the coming months.

🔪Meanwhile, in occupied territories, Russians keep going on their crimes:
❗️Russian Forces are holding hundreds of Enerhodar residents captive. They are tortured and beaten. Some residents are being kidnapped for ransom (50000 hryvnias, it is approximately $1700 by today's current course). Every day the mayor's office receives 2-3 reports of new abductions.

❗️Russian Forces have already stolen over 400,000 tons of grain from the occupied territories of Ukraine. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky.
At the time of the actual occupation, there were about 1.5 million tons of grain in these areas. Ukraine's agricultural losses from a full-scale Russian invasion already amount to $ 4 billion 300 million. Russia is deliberately destroying Ukraine's agricultural infrastructure.

And now for the icing on the cake:

Війна в Україні триває вже 4-й місяць, але Франція і Німеччина в постаті Емануеля Макрона та Олафа Шольца не втрачають надії на те, що з Путіним можна домовитися.

Домовитися ціною життя і землі українців, але заради своїх геополітичних інтересів.

Polish President Andrzej Duda: talks with Putin are like talks with Hi**er

June 9, Polish President Andrzej Duda criticised the leaders of France and Germany for their phone calls with Vladimir Putin, comparing it to negotiations with Adolf Hi**er during World War Two.

In an interview with Bild, Duda said that such conversations, in fact, only justify this genocidal war in Ukraine.

"Did anyone speak like this with Adolf Hi**er during World War Two? Did anyone say that Adolf Hi**er must save face? That we should proceed in such a way that it is not humiliating for Adolf Hi**er? I have not heard such voices," Duda said.

Lithuanian director Mantas Kvedaravičius died not from shelling, but in Russian captivity in Mariupol, says Mariupol activist Diana Berg.

“And I know this because it was my mother-in-law who was saved by him from the siege at the time he was captured,” she wrote.

According to her, the director was seized in front of Diana’s mother-in-law in the center of Mariupol, and no one else saw him alive after that.

“He died from cruel torture and ex*****on, and it is important to talk about this, about the grave crimes of Russia and the “DPR”, and not about some random shelling,” she said.

- ban on broadcasting of certain Russian media outlets;
- export restrictions;
- individual sanctions.

▪️Oil
The EU bans the purchase, import, and transport of crude oil and some petroleum products from Russia to the EU. A temporary exemption is envisaged for crude oil imports by pipeline to those EU member states that, due to their geographical location, suffer from a specific dependence on Russian supplies.

▪️SWIFT system

It has also expanded the list of goods and technology that are banned from being exported to Russia. In particular, this applies to 80 chemicals that can be used to produce chemical weapons.

▪️Individual sanctions

Russia is fighting as in the Middle Ages – U.S. Ambassador to the OSCE Michael Carpenter during his speech in Vienna.

"15 weeks of brutality. 15 weeks of atrocities. Russia has many modern weapons of war: cruise missiles that fly hundreds of miles, hitting their targets with astonishing accuracy. It has precision guided munitions that can be launched from the air, sea and land.

But why is this war being waged as if we were living in the Middle Ages? Why are so many civilians enduring the horrors of war?"

He added that looting resources in the occupied territories and forcing the population to flee is “another medieval tactic”.

🇵🇱 The Prime Minister of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki: Poland will help export Ukrainian grain and become an economic hub for Ukraine.

‼️President Biden: What America Will and Will Not Do in Ukraine

“Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine,” – stated President Biden in his column in The New York Times. He also expressed the following:

- The Ukrainian people surprised Russia and inspired the world with their sacrifice, grit and battlefield success. The free world and many other nations, led by the United States, rallied to Ukraine’s side with unprecedented military, humanitarian and financial support.
- America’s goal is straightforward: We want to see a democratic, independent, sovereign and prosperous Ukraine with the means to deter and defend itself against further aggression.
- Ukraine’s talks with Russia are not stalled because Ukraine has turned its back on diplomacy. They are stalled because Russia continues to wage a war to take control of as much of Ukraine as it can.

He finished the column with the words: “Americans will stay the course with the Ukrainian people because we understand that freedom is not free.”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not intend to strike at the territory of the Russian Federation, including with the use of American MLRS, as Moscow has repeatedly stated.

“I know that people in the US or someone in the White House is saying that we can use their MLRS to attack Russia. Look, we're not going to attack Russia. We are not interested in the Russian Federation, we are fighting on our territory," Zelensky said in an interview with Newsmax.
