Would anyone be interested in a brand new encyclopedia? KMAC TV started working on a Family Double Dare episode guide way back in 2017, and thanks to an anonymous source, is finally going to be revisited and updated.

With these help of a super fan, the project is finally getting some additional content that wouldn’t otherwise have been available.

In the future, we plan to get some interviews with former contestants. There’s a chance we could even get 3D replicas of some of the stuff related to the show printed for a new show in the works.

It’s so exciting that one innocent comment made by one of my Facebook friends has turned into the start of my career in Game Shows, Podcasts, and Talk Radio.

So, in case you haven’t heard, our eventual plan is to start making game shows that will one day end up on a streaming network. The only catch is, they can only ask yes or no questions. 😉 stay tuned

If KMAC Radio ever came back, we would prefer to do all broadcasts using vinyl to MP3, so, artists who wanted to be on the show could bring us a promo of their album for playback use. Then they could also get a free interview too.

The other option would be to do a live song for broadcast in the future.

We’re also looking at possibly doing some live streams of College of San Mateo Softball home games in 2024 since they take place during the afternoons when we’re up on campus… so stay tuned!

KMAC TV will soon have a new page called KMAC TV Productions. Since KMAC TV is strictly going to be for our DailyMotion Channel going forward, we decided that all video production services will no longer be provided by ARHS Mac Dude Productions, but will now be provided by the new KMAC TV Productions as of January 3rd 2023! We hope you like our new logo. It was designed by Patrick Healy.

Some of you might be wondering as to why we called ourselves “KMAC TV” if there’s no Television Station involved…

Well, there are several different reasons we chose that name initially:

1) when we were part of KDOG Radio at College of San Mateo, we had to come up with a shorter name for our show, and this was the only thing that stuck.

2) Our old name was too long to use for an email address (even though we still use it currently).

3) a brand redesign was supposed to happen in January of 2022, but the designers we were using turned out to be a scam, so, that was delayed.

4) Also in Spring of 2022, a brand new marketing team was supposed to help us with the redesign and rebranding, but that was also put off due to funding issues.

5) By the time we officially announce our first batch of Test Pilot Screenings, KMAC TV and ARHS Mac Dude Productions will finally have gotten some pretty wicked cool logos (Patrick Healy guarantees it, or everyone will get something free just for attending a free screening)!

And finally

6) Since there was a KMAC Radio at CSM, we initially thought that (before Covid) we could convince KDOG’s director to allow us to do some live video streams of people who wanted to come in and play live gigs on air. Also, we were looking at broadcasting some of the CSM football Home Games on KDOG Radio/KDOG TV too, But…Unfortunately, it was killed off by Covid.

Sadly, everything has to be rebuilt on my own, and it’s taken 3 years of convincing to get it done, but it’s going to happen soon! If you want more information, stay tuned!

We chose to use purple in our logo in honor of the late Alex Trebek? Today was actually World Alex Trebek Day, and we only found out a few minutes ago…😔

While I was going through some of our old files, I discovered that I had saved a copy of a contestant’s first hand account from a test pilot episode of Double Dare 2000 (before the Amanda Show SNICK House episode).

We will be adding this insight to the Double Dare 2000 section of the “Old Site” soon, as this is the missing puzzle piece we’ve been looking for since 2001.

All we can say is that a lot changed in 7 years…

This episode of Family Double Dare upset Patrick Healy so much in 1999 that it eventually led to the birth of KMAC TV and ARHS Mac Dude Productions! Yesterday, we learned a valuable piece of information. The reason that many sitcoms have failed is not because of their appeal… well, not entirely…

When the classic sitcoms were created, they usually filmed using three cameras.

Malcolm In The Middle tried to create a cheaper way of producing the sitcom… by using a single camera.

Now, I’m not saying that there aren’t times when this style can be useful... not at all, but, you can’t break tradition, and have a successful show like Cheers, Friends, Seinfeld, The Bog Bang Theory, or Full House (Fuller House) with just a single camera.

Take The Price Is Right for example. it’s a show that breaks tradition, and gives viewers an inside look at how they produce the show. When George Grey says “closed, captioning paid for by the following…” you can always see three cameras with three operators. Without that, there just isn’t a traditional CBS studio recorded program. Even Colbert has Three cameras.

Why do I bring this up? Well, I was looking at the Bachelor Program at CSU Northridge, and they only offered a single camera degree program, which means that the art of Producing Movies and Television in a studio is largely going away, and if that is truly the case, then our current idea might have to be redesigned one day, and that’s ok. Just as long as there is a space that has our name on it, and is dedicated in the memory of Evelyn Healy, then we’ll be happy!
