Supper tonight was quick and easy! I’m l learning to prioritize, protein, and veggies on this second postpartum journey. I am also learning that healthy does NOT have to be complicated, but can literally be this: 1. Grab a frozen chicken patty (I bought precooked, breaded) 3. Grab a bag of frozen vegetable medley 4. Put them on a cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil, spritz with olive oil (EVOO), salt and pepper, garlic powder and a shake of minced onion (allllll from my spice cabinet on hand.) 5. Bake 10 minutes (set a timer so you don’t forget like I normally do.) 6. Flip chicken, move around veggies and put back in for 10 more minutes. 7. Take out and plate and be proud you didn’t go through a drive thru. I made mine into a chicken sandwich with mayo on a bun. We ain’t afraid of carbs. But just know to portion them correctly 🫠The veggies were soooo good like this.

I have came to realize that this is what is holding me back more than anything…. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to thinking about my future as a health advocate.
But heres the thing. I am real. I am honest. I am a wife and mom who doesn’t look like I put in 10 hours a day at the gym. I look like a woman who loves food. I look flawed. I look broken at times. And all of these things are true.
But I am also these things— and so are you:
- worthy of finding balance in health and life.
-worthy of treating my body with movement everyday
-worthy of setting an example of what healthy can look like for the every day person. My family deserves my best self and so does yours.
