UPDATE: Members of Parliament from Wajir County led by Eldas MP Hon Adan Keynan, have condemned the alleged abduction of Della Ward MCA Hon Yussuf Hussein.

The MCA is said to have been driving along Enterprise Road in Nairobi, before he was forcefully taken by masked individuals who arrived in two Land Cruiser Prados.

The leaders want security agencies to find the MCA who has since been missing since Friday September 13th 2024.

UPDATE: Nandi Senator, Samson Cherargei has proposed a Bill seeking to extend the terms of the President and all elected leaders from five to seven years.

The Bill says it will establish the office of the Prime Minister, reflecting proposals from the National Dialogue Committee and Building Bridges Initiative reports.

It further states that the President will appoint the Prime Minister from among the members of Parliament, and the Prime Minister will lead the largest party or coalition.

The Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2024 is set to be introduced for first reading in the Senate.
