I wanted to share this clip of Ethan Hawkes opinion on super hero movies because he’s 100% correct and painted it clearer than anyone else has.
Movies that contain more substance and genuine hard word (especially on a tight budget) don’t get as much recognition today as they used to, which makes it extremely difficult for young aspiring film makers and writers to get their ideas out there and receive the attention they deserve.
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be the first person in the film screen when a movie like “Spider-Man: No Way Home” gets released but I’ll also be the first one there when Tarantino or The coen brothers come out with a new picture and we still need to make room for talented young upcoming film makers.
