When He's No Longer the One...
When you get married, you think it's forever. You build a life together and function as one. The decisions and the sacrifices you make are for the greater good of the family. Over time, you expect your relationship to be nurtured and to strengthen.
As for women, beyond motherhood, careers and business, we still need to feel womanly, sexy, needed and desired by our spouses. What are we to do when these feelings wane and the love and lust are no longer present?

Now, not some day.
Women are often taught to be selfless, especially when they have children. I preach the opposite. I believe it is more important for women to make less sacrifices and, instead, to be more selfish. Prioritizing their own needs and desires will protect their happiness. My motto is to celebrate selfish-ism.
Too often, women put their dreams on hold for others. I advise that they stop this now. Stop putting off what should be theirs today. Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, so pursuit of happiness, in the present, should always be the goal.

My Daughter Says She Doesn't Need Me and It Hurts
This little girl is now preparing to go to college and mommy is not ready. I say that I want more for myself and I say that I'm ready for the next phase of my life, but damn, it's an emotional time.

As a mom, you choose to make your children your priority. Their needs and desires are placed above your own. You may put your career on hold, neglect your health and fitness or sacrifice your lifestyle. But, there comes a time when your children really start to become independent. They don't need you as much as they once did.
For years, you longed for this moment, so that you can regain a sense of self. However, when it happens, you won't be prepared for it.
