Ah here…… wasn’t looking forward to racing this at all… started on s3. The toughest / wettest! Did 2 runs then went over and Did 1 and 2 twice. Nailed them so decided I’d go back and try 3 again. Started it off great and was thingking “this is deadly” until the steep chute before the fire road… made a mess of it and otb’d …..was about to hang up my boots but decided to go up and try again. Nailed it…. Was very happy and very surprised to arrive in and see my time put my in P3. Stoked. Thanks to .
This stuff doesn’t happen without the hard work that goes in to organising and creating such an amazing affordable series. Grassroots. You’ve been great. I’d also like to thank cos these posts make her morto. And of course for liking me.

Take a bow. Simply wonderful. 3 amazing stages. 200 + riders…. They even organised sunshine. ☀️ Savage day out on bikes. I rode well. No lie downs!! If I have learnt anything it’s that I need to ride these amazing trails in Hush more often. I came 9th in e-bike category. 80th overall. There is some stupidly fast people riding bikes in Ireland. I can’t fathom how someone can go as fast as they are going! Nuts. Thanks to all the Marshalls and photographers. 📸 with this banger. and keeping me company (and motivated!!) the Level RR hasn’t been getting much love lately…… she got a good run out though!! Class weekend of bike driving in North Wales. Trails here are not right. Lovely people and great facilities. Great trail builders and a really good community of bikers. Plus, it’s only 160km away from Dublin!! .
I met some really good people and learned so much on my journey as a mountain bike coach. Having super “dits” (craic) along the way.

Good day on bikes. in lack of sleep and bad weather were real downers in terms of motivation but myself and went full cheerleader mode and turned in to the lads from dumb and dumber. Stacked e-bike category. I finished p9. Mark got 3rd. There was less than 2.5 sec between top 3 and I was behind two other lads by less than 0.5 sec. 😮 Anyway, I’ve said it before….. these things don’t happen without the fantastic comittee at who work relentlessly to bring us bikers some of the best venues, formats and craic for racing. This is done with very limited budgets and their entry costs are really encouraging people to get in to the discipline. They work tirelessly hard with clubs and trail builders and today proved that they are one of the most active and best clubs around. Thanks everyone involved. What a day. Oh the Aussie was incredible. Thanks!! 📷 .media

Proper legends. Well done Grassroots and Team Ballyhoura
presented a cheque for 3000 euro to Mike O’Hara, School Principal, to support the school’s ambitious new multi-purpose Arena fund-raising effort.
The proceeds were raised from a recent event held in the Ballyhouras that attracted over 200 riders all competing in the final round of the national Grassroots MTB Series. The event was organised by the Team Ballyhoura MTB club with the support of the school staff and students. Fastest on the day was former Scoil Pol student and Team Ballyhoura member, Shane O’Sullivan.

@teamballyhoura take a bow. What a savage Enduro race. Absolutely goosed typing this. Got towed along by GC today. Eye opening to see the speed and how fast he can pull away from mere mortals at race pace. Saying that. I’m riding the fastest I have ever ridden. 2 falls today on S3 and S5. Didn’t stop us from finishing 14th in category. No music in this vid. I listened to enough today with Gav…. He needs his tunes. Plus I couldn’t figure out how to edit music and talking in the vid!!
