Founder Bio - DERRICK WILLIAMS

Derrick has spent over 2 decades in the entertainment industry working on live events, as well as TV and movie productions. He has managed the production finances of multi-million dollar features films and series for the past 10 years. Currently, Derrick is working for Nickelodeon, and has worked for such companies as Viacom, NBC, Gunpowder & Sky, AwesomenessTV, BET, and many others.

Derrick started the Open Door Film Project because he didn't like seeing disenfranchised or marginalized groups asking to be included. The underrepresented are actually the majority, and he believe we can create our own.

What is the PLOT of PROJECT 8?

PROJECT 8 is the story of a woman known only as 8, who after waking up from a cryogenic sleep finds that she is the property of a malevolent A.I. entity that wishes to subject her to an experiment in order to study human emotions. The stories in the anthology will serve as the emotional stimuli that the protagonist encounters throughout the experiment. As a whole, they will bridge the worlds between science-fiction, fantasy and even horror.
