I would like to show an example of how
NOT to argue ideology.
A little BTS about this page: I don’t typically use Facebook that much. It’s more of a platform for Boomers and Millennials and as a Zoomer, it never really appealed to me growing up. As you may have noticed, I only occasionally post things on this page and my poetry page. I mostly created this page to critique centrists, but also ideologies across the spectrum. This is one such example.
I was debating about alternatives to Landlords (given the current crisis, there are a lot of people facing eviction), and Devil’s advocating Landlords to see what others proposed to replace them. This page, who seems to have a vendetta against me because they stalk me across pages, suggested the typical ‘overthrow capitalism’ response every middle school Anarchist says. So I cited Marxist-Leninist Revolutions and the consequences stemming from them.
So he insinuates ‘you’ve never heard of Worker-owned economies’? So I ask him to cite examples of such economies. Instead of citing examples, he instead tries to deflect and insults me like a middle schooler. This is a dead giveaway that he was unable to cite examples (because spoiler, worker-owner economies don’t exist currently. Anarcho-kiddies really need step up about this if they want to be included with the rest of anti-centrism)

tl;dr: lesson here is that if you are going to claim something, ALWAYS back it up with sources. And if you know you can’t back it up with sources, DO NOT MAKE THE CLAIM. You’re only going to embarrass yourself online, in front of everyone 😂
