JUST IN: FlyingNewsLive 🩅 Trusted Sources say the SAPS command in the region is sending police Nyalas to Nkandla ( KwaZulu-Natal Province )

Some of the armoured vehicles have already been spotted in Eshowe, some 70 km away, heading in direction of the home of former President Jacob Zuma.

So far, the 'MKMVA members blocking police vans' saga has found us at the 'MKMVA members blocking police vans' stage. Unfortunately, the atmosphere outside of Nkandla is heating up.

ïżŒ

A bit of a commotion was caused on Wednesday at Nkandla when a police van arrived at the gates. The patch of Jacob Zuma's family is now guarded by a number of MKMVA members, who outnumbered the police officers on site.

Minor stand-off with the police

Nkandla, of course, is no stranger to controversy, especially due to its construction and funding. A lot of the upgrades made at the premium property were funded using taxpayer money that was improperly obtained. The countless rumors about ‘Gaddafi's millions' being concealed in the basement add to the wildness of the story. Due to resigning as president, Zuma and his family have spent much of their time in this country, but all that will change soon.

ïżŒ

Yesterday, former President Jacob Zuma was sentenced to 15 months in prison. It's unlikely you have not heard of it by now. His handover to the police by Sunday, 4th of July, is mandatory if he does not wish to be forcefully removed. That, though, has already set the tongues wagging this afternoon.

Can Jacob Zuma avoid jail?

The Zuma camp claims that Msholozi is planning to disregard the court order. The likelihood of resistance to his apprehension by both of his brothers has been predicted, and Carl Niehaus, the representative for MKMVA, has issued a statement that South Africans should “refuse the decision” that was made yesterday.
More is expected from Nkandla in the near future. To date, it is well established that South African police may expect a large amount of opposition from Zuma supporters.

The Constitutional Court finds former President Jacob Zuma of being guilty of contempt of court, Khampepe says there is no doubt that Mr. Zuma was in contempt of court. He is in blatant violation of the court order He is found guilty of contempt of court.

The court is due to decide on the former president's contempt of court charge, Constitutional Court says it would be 'futile' to give Jacob Zuma a suspended sentence, Justice Khampepe stresses that Zuma is very likely to defy a suspended sentence - a further act of defiance that will only plunge the judiciary further into crisis.

Khampepe reading the majority judgement said that politicians must abide by the law.” The strength of the Judiciary is being tested.” and that Mr Zuma is in violation of the court and his defying of the court in public is of no relevance and is guilty of being in contempt of court

President Cyril Ramaphosa is anticipated to announce a shift to Level 4 lockdown in the coming weeks, which will include an outright prohibition on the consumption of alcohol. The President's Coordinating Council (PCC), which is made up of premiers and executive mayors, convened on Sunday to consider the best course of action in the aftermath of the Covid-19 outbreak.

According to News24, pressure has been increasing on Ramaphosa to impose tight lockdown measures to combat the new Delta version that has emerged in South Africa. Insiders indicated that talks were going well, and that a tougher movement restriction, a curfew between 21:00 and 04:00, schools closing, and alcohol sales - both off-site and on-site - would be restricted for the next three weeks were all on the table.

Since the country's first shutdown in March last year, South Africa has experienced three alcohol sales restrictions. The first ban was repealed in June, but a second was imposed in July during the first Covid-19 wave in South Africa. A third ban was issued at the end of December last year when the second wave hit, fueled by a more contagious variety.
According to News24's sources, Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga is expected to decide when schools would be closed. Leisure travel to and from Gauteng will be forbidden, but other travel and transportation of goods and services would be allowed to continue.

All other protocols and measures will be maintained. All meetings would be outlawed, according to at least three government sources, with the exception of funerals and cremations, which would be permitted to 50 individuals. According to News24, eateries would only be allowed to do take-out for the next few weeks, while public places, such as parks and sports grounds, would be closed for three weeks.

ZULU KING MISUZULU KA ZWELITHINI HOSPITALIZED as RACE TO THE THRONE BECOMES DEADLY
Though the Amazulu traditional prime minister Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi has maintained that the nation’s has been given a clean bill of health,

Celebgossip.co.za has learnt that he was hospitalised due to an undisclosed condition.

According to royal insiders, the illness of the king, whose legitimacy to the throne is being challenged by his siblings, has been kept on the hush-hush after he was admitted to hospital in a serious condition last week.

“For weeks now he hasn’t been feeling well. Initially, we all thought that he might be suffering from fatigue, but his condition worsened. He then started exhibiting symptoms of serious flu,” a royal insider who didn’t want to speak on the record told Sunday World yesterday.

“This led to him being admitted to hospital for medical observation. For now, we do not know what the cause of his unwellness could be.”

Misuzulu’s no-show at major ceremonies at the royal house fuelled speculations that he had severe health problems. Last week, the king, who is yet to be installed, missed a crucial media briefing where the royal house notified Amazulu nation on the ending of the mourning period for the late King Zwelithini kabhekuzulu.

The briefing was also aimed at addressing the kingship status amid the court application challenging the nomination of MisuZulu to the throne. It emerged at the briefing that the king did not attend the pivotal cleansing ceremony and the hunting ritual, known in Isizulu as ihlambo. According to Isizulu cultural norms and beliefs, the reigning

For weeks now the Amazulu king has not been feeling well

King Misuzulu should have presided over the rituals.

Sources at the Ethekwini Hospital and Heart Centre, a Durban-based private hospital, also confirmed to Sunday World that the king was this week admitted at the hospital.

“We all knew that somebody important was at the hospital because of the heavily armed bodyguards and the police presence. We later found out that it was in fact the king who had been admitted for medical observation,” said the insider.

She added that it was not clear what tests were conducted on the king. “I think it might be related to some unknown complications. He was at the hospital for a day or two,” she said.

This week, Misuzulu also issued a communique postponing a prayer meeting commemorating his great-grandfather King Dinuzulu. The ceremony was scheduled to be held this weekend for two days. The king said the postponement of the gathering was due to Covid-19 protocols prohibiting large gatherings.

“I wish to inform the Zulu nation that the prayer will not take place on 26 and 27 June. It will be held at a future date when doing so will be both safe and legal,” read the communique.

Sunday World has learnt that concerns surrounding the health of Misuzulu have been exacerbated by the death of his mother, Queen Regent Mantfombi Dlamini, in April under mysterious circumstances. The queen, who was Zwelithini’s third wife, succumbed to an undisclosed illness, but it is widely believed she was poisoned after deadly toxins were found in her liver.

There are also allegations that the bad blood between the royal siblings over the throne had led to her being targeted.

The deadly contest for the Amazulu throne was also laid bare by Buthelezi this week. He painted a gloomy picture, saying if it were not for the constitutional democracy that the country enjoys, a deadly war would have long ensued between the warring factions.

Amazulu royal house spokesperson Prince Thulani Zulu declined to comment, saying had taken leave from royal duties.

Buthelezi’s spokesperson, Liezl van der Merwe, said: “His Majesty the King met his sister yesterday and he subsequently issued a statement on the meeting, so I am not aware of your information. He is clearly working and healthy.”

The banned Secretary General of the African National Congress has a significant audience, as is publicly recognized. It was shown on Thursday, when he had to show up in court to battle the ANC. All of his backers demonstrates up in force, and some showed their support via social media. They sought him to win the case, but what he did never ended up sitting well with the majority of his followers.

When the secretary general appeared in court, he was accompanied by a friend. The buddy is said to be a well-known businessman who was also a member of the ANC in the past. The fact that this so-called business person was a migrant enraged the supporters the most. According to reports, the man is initially from Zimbabwe and happened to come with Ace Magashule as a supporter for the court case.

Many distinct tweets have been posted about this matter, as people are baffled as to why the secretary general would do such a thing considering the popularity of South African lawyers and Zimbabwe. According to reports, Dali Mpofu and other lawyers were rejected work permits to perform in Zimbabwe when they required them in 2013. This act marked the beginning of a dislike for Zimbabweans and them back in 2013
When Ace Magashule arrived with the man, they assume it was primarily intended to be disrespectful to South African lawyers who have been rejected access to services in Zimbabwe, but in South Africa, we allow their employees to own businesses and become wealthy using hard-earned money from South Africa. Of course, South Africans did not explicitly deal with the issue to the Secretary General, and he did not mention it. All that is known is that South Africa is in a state of distress.

President Julius Malema explained on Newzroom Africa why EFF delegation went to Nkadla. The leadership was there to convince Jacob Zuma to appear before the Zondo commission. We all know that Zuma said that he will no longer appear before the commission, because he think the commission is bias against him. The leadership of the EFF decided to intervene because we played a pivotal role in establishing that commission (Dali)

Andile Mgxitama was correct when he assumed you went there, to convince former president to appear before the commission. We were all questioning why EFF went to have a cup of coffee with Jacob Zuma, but the truth has finally came out, as EFF always claims to be doing good for this country. Now they are telling us that they are the ones who convinced Msholozi to come forward and appear at the Zondo commission

EFF is just confused i think because they claim to be enemies with Zuma, after a day they will be saying good things about him now they are the ones helping him win every case. Jacob Zuma was not convinced by any one but he came on his own, the eff must stop lying to the people. Eff is the lite version of ANC their part is to distract the citizens from serious corruption and looting happening in the main house (ANC)

Some social media users jokingly “called” for the police, the Special Investigation Unit and the Hawks to investigate President Cyril Ramaphosa’s “missing” iPad, while others criticised him for delaying his speech because he could not locate the device.

Ramaphosa topped the Twitter trends list on Tuesday after South Africans saw him puzzled on live TV and asking if his iPad had been stolen.

“I’m waiting for my iPad. Somebody stole my iPad,” Ramaphosa said as he took to the podium at the National Ports Authority in Cape Town. His spokesperson Tyrone Seale and other officials could be heard laughing in the background.

“Somebody has decided to dispossess me of my iPad, so I want that. Can I have my iPad, please? So they stole it. I had my iPad. Do you know where they took my iPad to?” he asked Seale.

The awkward moment went on for more than two minutes before the iPad was located.

As reported by Amanda Khoza for TimesLIVE, the presidency issued a statement saying the president was making a “lighthearted point” ahead of his speech.

“Thank you, SA. There was no question of the iPad being missing or stolen. The president was making a lighthearted point while waiting for the iPad to be brought to him — which it was before he began his remarks to media.”

That did not stop social media users from having a laugh about the incident:

NEWS IN: Four suspects shot dead, manhunt underway for armed robbers

Pretoria, 07 January 2021: Four suspects have been shot dead, two rifles and a pistol have been recovered by members of the South African Police Service (SAPS) following a foiled cross pavement robbery at a filling station in the Bram Fischer area in Soweto.

Thursday afternoon, an intelligence-driven multidisciplinary team consisting led by members from Crime Intelligence (CI) and the National Intervention Unit (NIU) responded to intelligence of a planned attack on a cash van.

The team of SAPS members noticed two suspicious looking vehicle’s following the CIT vehicle into the filling station where security officials were to perform their daily duties of collecting monies from the ATMS situated at the said filling station.

Upon noticing the SAPS members, the two vehicle’s with a group of armed robbers made an about turn resulting in a high speed chase. Hot on their heels, the team followed the vehicle’s to an identified address in the area where a shootout ensued.

Four suspects were shot dead while other suspects fled the scene.

The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), General Khehla Sitole has hailed the vigilance of the joint team.

“The vigilance of this team ought to be commended for executing our mandate as the SAPS without fear or favour. This incident should send a stern warning to all involved in all forms of criminality, especially violent crime, to steer clear of crime. We are hoping to apprehend the remaining suspects who managed to flee the scene with the implementation of the 72-hour activation plan to mobilize all resources".

The possibility of linking these suspects to a spate of violent crimes including the recent Cash-In-Transit heists in and around Gauteng cannot be ruled out.
