--A Love Letter --by Sandy Swenson

"I wish you could see your life through my eyes. I wish you could see the love that has been following you every step of the way, every minute of every day.

I know by now, of course, that my words don’t have the power to change things, but, I still believe in the power of love.

I miss you, my child.

I want you back.

I saw a movie recently about a mother waiting for word on her son who was being held in a detention center for illegal immigrants. An illegal immigrant herself, she was unable to go into the detention center to see him, so she would sit in a coffee shop nearby. When someone told her that she should go home, that there was nothing she could do to help her son by staying, she said that she would not be anywhere else; her son was in trouble and she would be near.

I’m sitting in that coffee shop, my child.

I’m nearby, even if you can’t see me.

Me and my love.

LOVE is all I have left to give you."

Genuine Alpha males are calm, collected and radiate their strength quietly. It is their inherent self-confidence in their ability to handle situations that marks them. They are never the aggressor but always the protector. They're around, plenty of them, but they don't advertise.

If you have the luxury of thinking addicts are lowlife scums who chose their addiction, remember to thank your Higher Self that you have no idea what this life is like.

One thing you never want to do is watch someone you love, who has fought so hard to beat addiction, throw everything away and sink back into a life that will most likely lead to jail or death. You want to grab them and shake them and scream, "What are you doing?!?!" but, at some point, you realize it wouldn't make a bit of difference. So, you sit back and watch the tragedy unfold, as if you are watching a movie. Feeling helpless to stop it, feeling like you haven't done enough to help, even though you know, only the addict can help themselves. Battling addiction is a beast for the person addicted and for the ones who love them. l am asking you to stand with me in prayer for every family member, loved one, and friend who has lost or is losing their battle with drugs and alcohol and for those who continue to conquer it!.💜

There’s so much freedom I’m relinquishing control of my life to my higher power...I spent so many years trying to make sure everything was how it should be. Turns out I suck at it. And there was someone standing there the whole time who could guide me perfectly. I am Imperfect. And I’m ok with that.
If you were overwhelmed and your spouse offered to do the laundry and dishes for you and come up with a plan for the rest of the night to go smoothly…..would you accept?
You would be insane not to!
Your higher power (whatever that looks like for you) is waiting to help with the worries and the plans. You just have to make a daily decision to give up control and have a little faith that the journey will take you where you need to be!
I promise you that daily decision will change your life!
