Sara Chitambo-Hatira is a filmmaker dedicated to telling impactful stories that address urgent social and environmental issues. As Co-Chair of the Documentary Filmmakers' Association in South Africa, Sara champions the craft of documentary filmmaking and advocates for greater representation of African voices in global narratives
Sara’s debut feature-length documentary, Black People Don’t Get Depressed, premiered at the Africa Film Festival in New York and Encounters in South Africa.
