Miss Universe 2023 was the 72nd Miss Universe pageant, held at the Gimnasio Nacional José Adolfo Pineda in San Salvador, El Salvador, on 18 November 2023.

At the end of the event, R'Bonney Gabriel of the United States crowned Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua as Miss Universe 2023, marking the first win of Nicaragua in the pageant.

Contestants from eighty-four countries and territories competed in this edition. The competition was presented by Jeannie Mai and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo for the second consecutive time, along with Maria Menounos. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Zuri Hall also served as backstage correspondents for the second time. John Legend performed in this edition.

Karla Inelisse Guilfú Acevedo (born July 19, 1998) is a Puerto Rican model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2023. She also represented Puerto Rico at Miss Universe 2023, where she reached the top 5.

Karla also started a Community Organization for mental health in Puerto Rico called Comencemos a Sanar Inc. to help people struggling with this illness through education projects, agency collaborations and grassroots initiatives . Anntonia Porsild (Thai: แอนโทเนีย โพซิ้ว; born 2 November 1996) is a Danish-Thai model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Supranational 2019 and Miss Universe Thailand 2023. Sheynnis Alondra Palacios Cornejo (born 30 May 2000) is a Nicaraguan model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 2023. Miss Tiffany's Universe (มิสทิฟฟานี่ยูนิเวิร์ส) now also known as Miss Tiffany is a beauty contest for Thai transgender women in Pattaya, Thailand. It has taken place annually since 1998.
The contest is open to all transgender women who may or may not have gone through s*x reassignment surgery. "Ladyboy" or "kathoey" are commonly used terms in Thailand to describe effeminate gay male or transgender women. Each year, about 100 candidates from across Thailand apply to take part in the pageant. All contestants need to have Thai nationality and be between the age of 18 and 25. Contestants under the age of 20 are required to obtain parental permission to be eligible.[citation needed] Contestants come from a variety of backgrounds, including university students, doctors, engineers, pharmacists, etc. Once chosen to participate in the pageant, the contestants are judged based on physical attributes and overall performance in accordance to the feminine ideal.

The Miss Tiffany's Universe winner receives a trophy and crown, Honda Jazz, cash prizes, jewellery, and other gifts from sponsors. Besides the overall winner, other awards include Miss Photogenic, Miss Sexy Star, Miss Congeniality, and Miss Popular Vote. Miss Tiffany's Universe is Thailand's official representative to Miss International Queen.

The Miss Tiffany’s Universe contest held once a year is receiving more attention especially since it is broadcast live on Thai television with an average of 15 million viewers.
Miss Tiffany's Universe is a registered trademark of Tiffany's Show Pattaya Co, Ltd. The organization supports charity events for the less fortunate and supports The Royal-sponsored AIDS Foundation. The goal of this contest is to promote the rights and equality and improve the quality of life for transgender persons in Thailand. The pageant is also a source of significant income and opens up opportunities for pageant contestants.

Miss Universe Philippines 2022 was the 3rd edition of the Miss Universe Philippines pageant. The coronation night was held on April 30, 2022, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, Philippines.

The coronation night was livestreamed by ABS-CBN through iWantTFC, YouTube, and The Filipino Channel on April 30, 2022 with a delayed telecast on GMA Network on May 1, 2022. Beatrice Luigi Gomez of Cebu City crowned Silvia Celeste Cortesi of Pasay as her successor at the end of the event. Cortesi will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant.

Silvia Celeste Rabimbi Cortesi (Tagalog: [tʃɛˈlɛstɛ kɔɾˈtɛsɪ]; born December 15, 1997) is a Filipino-Italian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2022. She will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2022 competition.

Cortesi was previously crowned Miss Earth Philippines 2018 and represented the Philippines at the Miss Earth 2018 pageant, where she finished in the Top 8.

Miss Tiffany's Universe (มิสทิฟฟานี่ยูนิเวิร์ส) now also known as Miss Tiffany is a beauty contest for Thai transgender women in Pattaya, Thailand. It has taken place annually since 1998. The contest is open to all transgender women who may or may not have gone through sex reassignment surgery. "Ladyboy" or "kathoey" are commonly used terms in Thailand to describe effeminate gay male or transgender women. Each year, about 100 candidates from across Thailand apply to take part in the pageant. All contestants need to have Thai nationality and be between the age of 18 and 25. Contestants under the age of 20 are required to obtain parental permission to be eligible.[citation needed] Contestants come from a variety of backgrounds, including university students, doctors, engineers, pharmacists, etc. Once chosen to participate in the pageant, the contestants are judged based on physical attributes and overall performance in accordance to the feminine ideal. The Miss Tiffany's Universe winner receives a trophy and crown, Honda Jazz, cash prizes, jewellery, and other gifts from sponsors. Besides the overall winner, other awards include Miss Photogenic, Miss Sexy Star, Miss Congeniality, and Miss Popular Vote. Miss Tiffany's Universe is Thailand's official representative to Miss International Queen.
