Cirque du Soleil presents “Corteo” this week August 8-11 in Raleigh featuring a stunning aerial act by Stephanie Waltman. While working in Vegas Stephanie was inspired by an aerial silk performance and sought out a trainer in Paris to give her classes. Give your kids the opportunity to be scientist 🔬 with the interactive experience of Dueling Dinosaurs. 🦕 The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences opened a paleontology lab and acquired two of the world’s most complete dinosaur skeletons to study for the exhibit. Governor Roy Cooper announced Thursday, July 11, 2024, as World University Games Day 🏆 marking exactly 5 years to the start of the 2029 World University Games scheduled for July 11-22 2029. 🏅These games will serve as an “Olympic” type competition for the top collegiate athletes. Five years were spent by the North Carolina Bid Committee (NCBC) to secure the games to be held in the college regions from Raleigh to Greensboro including 13 colleges and universities. 🏫

In 1999, Judy Williams, a developmental education specialist, and Laura Wyatt, an educator and psychologist focused on kids with special needs, recognized a need in the Triangle community for a school that accommodated kids dealing with special learning challenges.
