A girl reached out to me on Instagram in search of help, she had been riding a jet ski near Star Island and lost her phone next to the bridge. I had already planned to go scuba diving in Miami in search of lost items, so I added Star Island to my list of search areas. The sun was beginning to set as I jumped in the water with my dive lights. While scouring the sea floor next to the multi million dollar mansions, I heard the sound of a boat or waverunner or something with a big engine come by the dive site. When the water got too dark and murky to continue the search I came back to the surface to find a couple of supercars FLOATING next to our boat! I didn't find her phone but searching the water in Miami is always a surprise. I talked to the guys on the supercar jet boats and they said I could rent them nearby. Next time I do a search and recovery in Miami I am definitely pulling up in style in floating McClaren.

I survived 24 hrs in an emergency life raft! And I bought the raft for only $100 on Facebook Marketplace! This is an 8 person survival raft, and it comes packed with a pressurized air tank. When the rip cord is pulled, the raft inflates to a large size in 30 seconds. The raft comes packed with all kinds of survival gear so you can survive a week at sea. This raft was probably almost 30 years old so I didn't know how well it would still work but it did not disappoint. The weather was not great, it got cold inside the raft, and I was awakened in the middle of the night to g@n shots nearby! South Florida never disappoints!

I made a disturbing find while diving an urban area in Miami. We were looking for lost items and removing trash from the waterways when we came across this large knife that was ditched into the water. The knife was tied up into a shirt and filled with rocks and was throwing distance from the road. It's clear this knife was disposed of by someone who did not want it to be found. What was more unsettling was the police reaction to the possible criminal evidence. Scuba diving Miami is always an adventure.

They thought their vacation pictures were gone forever! I found this couples iPhone while treasure hunting a popular Florida River. The phone was stuck deep in the eel grass, the only way I even knew it was there was with my underwater metal detector. I pulled the phone out of the water and brought it home to plug it in. To my surprise it powered up and I could see the wife's face on the screen saver! After doing some investigative work I located the couple and contacted them with the good news. To my shock and theres the phone had been lost over 1 YEAR AGO when they flipped over while kayaking. We met up and they were so happy to have recovered there vacation memories from the phone. The phone survived a year in the river because it was in a case. I am really impressed with the life proof case and the iPhone, it is almost unbelievable that this phone could power right up after 1 year underwater. Big thanks to for letting me use their battery powered dive system the Nomad while diving the river.

In this video we go cave exploring and freediving deep inside a Florida cave and Florida Spring. This Cave exploring and freediving in this cave was a once in a lifetime experience. This body of water in Florida was drained lower for work at a nearby park, this exposed a cave which allowed us to walk through. The water was rising slowly while we were there and is now full, we can never walk through this cave like this again. We would need to be certified cave divers to see this far into the cave now that it is full. I have been freediving in other Florida Springs like Ginnie Springs, Weeki Wachee, and Alexander Springs, but this is the most unique Florida Spring free dive experience I have ever had.

Battery powered diving with the Nemo by Blu3! The Nemo is a must have for on the water adventures like this. I went to visit a beautiful Florida Spring by boat, afterwards we found some treasure in the river and cleaned up some trash! I always keep the Nemo on the boat since it fits into a compact backpack and is always ready to go (as long as the lithium ion battery is charged)!

This cave is normally filled with water! 😱 Repairs at Jackson Blue springs have forced officials to temporarily drain down Merritt Mill pond, and this has exposed Gator Hole. The water level would normally fill this cave and only highly trained cave Scuba divers would be able to access this location. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see this location and explore inside.

These old dome houses off Cape Romano are very cool. They have been through many powerful hurricanes and are still standing. Unfortunately they were built on sinking sand and have suffered the forces of beach erosion. Maybe this type of architecture should be revisited.

Exploring a Sunken Ship - Wreck diving the Ancient Mariner in Deerfield, FL

This wreck has an incredible history. It was designed originally to catch alcohol smugglers during the prohibition era. Ironically prohibition was repelaled shortly before the ship was launched. It was later used to hunt submarines during World War 2 and rescue sailors stranded in the water. The ship was later converted to a floating restaraunt and was eventually turned into an artificial reef in 1991.
