Derby Hippodrome

Derby Hippodrome is a large Grade II listed variety theatre built in 1914. It is a rare survival from an early stage in the crossover period when buildings were being constructed for both live theatre and cinema. This building form proved to be the model for most cinema design from the 1930s onwards.

Easy access and met some local youths inside

Laughable situations with the Ukrainian church. They want us charged with burgulary🤣🤣

In this day n age it would take grands to take us court for civil trespass. I'm pretty sure if doors open then it's public access situation.

For the record if entry is not there we walk away and have been proud of that since starting this page !!

The cheeky library

After doing westwood memorial college on few occasions we learned estoril house was re opened.
Iv already been but Slobberchops Urban Exploration hadn't, this bit was sealed on every occasion.

Abit fresh n new n didn't feel comfortable here!

I'm officially done at Staffordshire college now tho 😄

Make the best of it farm 🚜 🤔

After a fail on a very easy garden centre we settled on doing this one.

Last time we had 50 kids running round the place n it was sealed tightly.
This time hole in wall was easier to access inside it wasn't great but was better than a full fail. Or was it? You decide 🤔

Huge Hotel.

Found this hotel/ wedding venue on few people's information. Was not disappointed at all.

Information came forward it was hit by travellers the week after our visit, who went about removing all piping boilers. Walls and carpets have been destroyed and enterance to the locked rooms wer smashed open.

Think a few explorers posted it with full name explosed!!

Curiosity??

Many many years iv walked, drove and cycled past this local spot.

Was told years ago it's owned by a neighbour but recently there's been a predominantly large hole at front of building. Months passed with no attempt to seal building or fence. We decided to venture inside to take a look.

Note I had seen this derelict building get worse and worse but 30 plus years of Curiosity got better of me!

Many thanks to HingeandBracketexplores for this one. Upon entry it looked like ur usual wrecked sh****le. Once through first few empty rooms it took a dramatic twist into a time capsual.

Strange Farm Wreckage.

This one was passed to us by another explorer and maybe wasn't so abandoned??

We slowly walked down long driveway looking in the various units when as we approached the last barn we noticed a van at rear of premises.

Not uncommon to find vehicles this one didn't look too shabby. Then I noticed a huge dog ! Fortunately it was stalking another animal n didn't spot us.

Lucky escape or jus bad information??

Another abandoned Church ⛪️

From what can find out it shut down in 2017 and now remains in a sorry state, like many of these stunning buildings!
