FreeSTAR SystemX Update, 3 years and counting !!

The SystemX DMR Global network has had a few bug fixes and updates to the system. Mainly the Dashboard and stability of the system as a whole. IF YOU USE SELFCARE, LOG IN AND RE APPLY YOUR STATIC TALKGROUPS AND SETTINGS. If using Options strings check them in your local DMR server in the “Info —> Options Calculator” menu. All the workings of Selfcare and the Options Calculator have been fixed. Especially if setting a timer!

The New Official UK DMRplus server! Supporting the IPSC2-Network and its community is a fundamental goal! No blocking of ham radio users, reflectors or talkgroups & is fully routable to the DMRplus Reflector System! Since DV-Scotland took over Phoenix they have allowed us to take the opportunity of making the UK a more friendly & accessible place for the UK IPSC2 community and it keeps growing with more than 80-100 hotspots & 12 repeaters already connected 🙂

CQ-UK DMR Master has been updated! Now supports APRS. Program your radio to send GPS data to 9059 Private call any slot! Your GPS info will then be sent via the APRS network and plotted on aprs.fi website. The CQ-UK master is part of the System X Global franchise, maintained by CQ-UK as a bonafide System X Master and has a full connection to all talkgroups via System X Global. This master is listed on all MMDVM end-user platforms via DMR Master “FreeSTAR_CQUK” “or SystemX_CQUK” depending on which platform you use.

M17. Have you tried it? FreeSTAR has its own M17 Reflector called “M17-DMR” here is the new dashboard https://m17.freestar.network

It is very similar to how D-Star works and is based around the XLXd architecture of Modules. At the moment we are testing Module X (FreeSTAR), Module D (FreeSTAR Backup) & Module B (ChatterBOX)! Give it a test… available on DroidStar, DudeStar, Pi-Star and more!

Some may have noticed that the network had fallen into a mess! We had a major outage on our DNS. Also our IPSC2-FreeSTAR server was out. Now we are back online!! DNS is restored and the IPSC2 server is freshly built on version C.09.13. Can’t thank the DMR+ team enough and our host provider L2MR for getting us back in business!!! 🙂 I’m happy now 🙂

***SYSTEM-X*** UPGRADE V1.3.9
just a quick update,, an issue that was discovered where static TG’s were going to “sleep”, is now fixed. This was a misconfiguration server side and should now work correctly on all servers. You can use legacy “Options Strings” or the new string which is the same as FreeDMR or DMR+. For example…

To have a static on 50556 ANZEL network for example simply use options string TS2=50556;

Or .. for legacy DMR+ style use ..
TS2_1=50556;

This will set the talkgroup as “static” which means your hotspot is always tuned in to this talkgroup!
