This felt like a never ending story, but we finally got to be complete! We can’t thank the nurses & doctors at mount siani hospital enough, they were amazing during what was the most nerve racking time in our lives.

At 26 weeks + 1 Day gestation

June 13th Daddy took Mommy to the hospital because she knew something wasn’t right, she had some bleeding and although when she called days prior everyone said “Oh it’s usually normal don’t worry”, but that saturday mommy knew to trust her gut she was only 23w+5D. They arrived at the hospital at 2:30pm, by 3:00pm mom & dad got the news baby julien may be coming sooner than anyone would’ve hoped. Mom was 4cm dilated & got a round of steroids for Julien’s lungs and antibiotics for any possible infections. Then mommy was rushed to Mount Siani where she stayed alone due to covid until Julien’s arrival 17 days later. Mom & Dad along with all of their loved ones prayed everyday for Julien to be okay!
Mommy’s water broke June 29th at 5:15pm after a nap, Daddy arrived the next day at 2:35pm and out came Julien at 5:22pm. He Came out Breathing on his own, let out one tiny cry letting mommy and daddy know he was okay! Julien did need the cpap mask for some assistance. Along with a caffeine drip to stimulate him to breathe but otherwise his breathing was good!
This was the scariest yet best day of our lives 🙏🏽💙
