Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson is facing a suspension of six games for being accused (by 24 women) of sexual misconduct during massage treatments in Texas. NFL disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson, (former federal judge) said Watson’s behaviour was “more egregious than any before viewed by the NFL.” The sanction fell short of what the NFL originally wanted which was at least a year due to violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Tom Brady has just put any arguments that he is too old to be in the NFL to bed as the star quarterback just won his 7th Super Bowl title. In his firs year as a Buccaneer, the 43-year-old quarterback played a perfect game, surrounded by team mates who alongside Brady thrived in the conditions. This win for the Buccaneer ends the 18-year title drought and solidifies the teams status as one of the best this century.

It’s a fans dream come true, with Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady set to meet in the nFL playoffs for the first time and one of them guaranteed a spot playing in the Super Bowl. With only 3 games left in the season, and two deciding two on Monday, it’s an exciting time to be a fan.

Philip Rivers is retiring from the NFL, ending his 17 year career as one of the greats. Rivers has spent his last season with Indianapolis Colts after 16 years with Los Angeles and is now regarded as one of the most prolific quarterbacks in NFL history.

Rivers stated on Wednesday that playing as a quarterback in the NFL was a “childhood dream”, but never did he imagine he would end fifth in NFL history with 63,440 passing yards. At 39, the only milestone he missed out on was playing in the Super Bowl but still has a track record than many who do.

The Baltimore Ravens have released quarterback Robert Griffen III on Monday, only two days after their season ended. Griffin joined the Ravens in 2018 and has been the teams backup to Lamar Jackson which was picked up by the Ravens that same year. At 30 years of age, it is uncertain if Griffin will be picked up but he claims “the best tis yet to come”.

Kansas City gave their fans the ride of a lifetime, in a thrilling 22-17 win over the Cleveland Browns on Monday. With the Chiefs looking well in control of the game, it all but looked predictable until team quarterback and leader Patrick Mahomes left midway through the third quarter. Although looking all sorts of scary, Kansas City pulled through securing the win.

Aaron Rodgers has made his dream come true of an NFC Championship game at home. Rodgers threw two touchdown passes and scored, leading the Greed Bay Packers to a strong win over the Los Angeles Rams 32-18 on Sunday. Green Bay’s offence was overpowering whilst the Rams’ defence was nowhere near ready to rise to the challenge. This will be the Packers fourth Championship game out of the last seven seasons and look to win the first Super Bowl berth in a decade.

The Jaguars have made a big statement hiring Urban Meyer as their new head coach for the upcoming season. Meyer is arguably one of the most successful coaches in College football and he’s got a large task ahead of his to turnaround one of the NFL's worst franchises. Franchise owner Shad Khan has voiced his excitement in a statement - “Urban Meyer is who we want and need, a leader, winner and champion who demands excellence and produces results.”

Anthony Castonzo has announced that after 10 long seasons he will be hanging up his boots and retiring from the NFL. "As a kid, it was my dream to play in the NFL. I played my first full season of tackle football in second grade," Castonzo said in a statement. "Now I have played my last. As I sit here now…I am extremely proud of all the hard work and sacrifice that allowed me to evolve that dream into a goal.” Castonzo was a first round pick in the 2011 draft and started all 144 games he played in his career.

Rich Eisen said it all in a tweet he posted earlier this week - “Has there ever been a more disastrous start to a playoff game?” Pittsburgh seemed asleep in the first quarter of their playoffs against the Cleveland Browns. After only the first quarter, the score was Borwns 28, Steelers 0. The largest margin in a playoff game after the first quarter in 52 years.

Doug Pederson’s time as a Philadelphia Eagle has been cut short. Pederson’s time as a coach was a little over three years and during that a, delivered the franchise its only Super Bowl title and playoff appearances in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

With the Jets currently holding a vacant spot for head coach, rumours have already arisen that Pederson may be making the jump to the Jets. The on-field results this season were obviously a contributing factor to the decision to see Pederson out, many are surprised that the Eagles couldn’t overlook the last season for previous results.

Tom Brady may have changed teams but that doesn’t mean his ability to win games has changed. Brady threw for 381 yards and two touchdowns to lead Tampa Bay to their first playoff victory since 2002.

Brady’s plays were critical to the team’s success and without him, aren’t likely to have secured the win. "Certainly a lot to improve on, but great to get a win," said Brady, who was 22 of 40 passing. "If you could win 100-0, it's going to be the same result in the end. You'd love to play great every game. I think it's good to win and advance."

Trevor Lawrence has announced on Wednesday that unfortunately he will not be resigning with Clemson in 2021. The star quarterback released a video on his social media announcing he would enter the NFL draft next season.

Lawrence is loved by Clemson fans, previously leading the team to a national championship in 2018 as a freshmen. "My time here has been amazing, and I'll be a Clemson Tiger forever," Lawrence said in the video.

The 2020 NFL awards are looming and we’ve already got our pick for the overall MVP. Who would’ve thought that earlier last year, Rodgers would not only still be in the Packers starting lineup, but have a season for the ages.

We’re not too sure what sparked the change in Rodgers game, but we’re loving it! Rodgers posted the best QBR, completion percentage and first-down rate of his Hall of Fame career. In fact, Rodgers hasnt performed this good since 2014, when he won the open MVP award.

Lamar Jackson has made NFL history Sunday as the first quarterback to reach multiple 1,000-yard seasons. Due to Jackson’s stellar performance Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens are now on a playoffs berth.

The team seemed like a slim chance to make finals and are now the wild card remainder winning their last 5 games of the season to reach this point. Their victory Sunday over the Cincinnati Bengals 38-3 secured them their position and look to play the Tennessee Titans next weekend to continue.

Although one of the later picks in the 2020 NFL draft, Justin Jefferson has shocked viewers and pulled out a new record. Jefferson is now the record-holder for receiving yards in a rookie season with 1400 yards.

Sunday clinched Jefferson the record, with 133 yards for 9 catches when the Vikings narrowly beat the Lions. The record was previously held by Anquan Boldin with 1377 in 2003. Although a underwhelming season for the Vikings, Jefferson has become a rising star in the competition and given Vikings fans hope for the future.

If you had asked us last year whether the Dolphins would’ve made playoffs, the answer would’ve been a laughable no. But now, the Dolphins are showing us all they’re the wild card to watch.

With an incredible 1 year turnaround, The Dolphins are in with a huge chance to play post-season. Not to be discredited however, their journey was tough, but overcame many odds to make it.

The Dolphins are in with a 30% chance to make playoffs, and if we’ve learnt anything about them this season, it’s that they’re exceeding all expectations.

Antonio Gibson has been ruled out of the Washington Football team missing this Sundays game against the San Francisco 49ers. Gibson suffered a toe injury and has been officially ruled out of play.

Gibson currently leads Washington with 659 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. In the two games before his injury, Gibson 204 years rushed and 4 touchdowns. Coach Ron Riviera has already voiced concerns but wants Gibson to be fully healed before returning.

It is currently uncertain how much time Gibson is required to take off. But, Washington is no doubt keen to have Gibson back as early as permits.

Washington’s quarterback Alex Smith has retired early from the game against the San Francisco 49ers. Smith finished the first half early, going directly to the locker room and a rumoured leg injury.

In 2018 Smith suffered an awful leg injury which saw him retired for the remainder of the season. His injury and rehabilitation time extended through to 2019 entirely and has finally been able to make his return in 2020.

However, the recent game shows that Smith may not be back into his 2018 form and no further details have been announced. Since this, Dwayne Haskins has replaced Smith for Washington.

30 minutes prior to kicking off against the Dallas Cowboys, Dez Bryant received a positive Conoravirus test result. The NFL is reassuring fans that all appropriate measure were taken to contain the infection and dealt with seriously.

Bryant was already on the field participating in warm-ups a full hour before the positive test result was revealed. During this, Bryant had already been hugging and talking with players including those on the Cowboys.

Appropriate contact-tracing method have been taken even though the teams were allowed to continue the game as planned. Results have yet to arise from the close contacts and whether this is another cluster that may become out of hand.
