Trauma or anything that happens to your life is no excuse. You can't hold it in, you have to build from it, it's a lesson. You can't make someone else suffer with you, because you're holding it in but you can always share your pain to try and make sense to the person you're with, so it doesn't become trauma again.

Maturity is working through your trauma and not using it as a never ending excuse for poor behaviour.

Use that trauma to help other people over come their own.

With Pain Comes Strength!

Sometimes our kindness is abused, people take advantage of it, and in return, we are forced to deal with the toxic treatment we don't deserve. The growth of someone is their responsibility, not ours. Just because we see the "potential" doesn't mean we have to tolerate behaviors that abuse and take advantage of us. If people would like to change for the better, THEY WILL.

One of the things I discovered was that. When someone asks me for a favor, it is difficult for me to refuse. Unaware of it, they are already mistreating me.

But managing people and acting as a leader. You must learn when to employ the carrot and stick approach.
You're there to mentor and instruct them. However, the changes would be entirely reliant on them.

Loving and doing what's best for your people is not bad at all.
Not wanting them to fail is not bad at all.

However, you must understand that failure will be a necessary part of their development, and sometimes you must let them fall in order for them to develop and get stronger.

Sometimes they might hate you.
Sometimes they might appreciate you.
But do you know what's most important?
Your heart's desire and intentions. A desire for your people's success, experience, and climb to success.
