Females are uneducated?

was one of the greatest female scholars of our era. Despite being blind, she memorised the Qur'an at the age of 14, and then she memorised the Muwatta Imam Malik, Sahih Muslim, and Sahih Al-Bukhari. She did all that without physical sight! She travelled from Morocco to Tunisia and studied in the world famous Zaytuna University, and then she taught the religion for over 60 years. She would fast continually through the year and still allowed students to benefit from her even when she was over 100 years old.

May Allāh honour her and grant her the highest abodes of Jannah. We pray that female Islamic scholarship is revived and our womenfolk are honoured to be inheritors of this religion. May we from those who help to facilitate it. Aameen!
