Got stopped by a train on our way home from our fantasy draft, but thankfully stopped by to see our friend and local rapscallion before, so we had some trackside beers while we waited. Talk about lucky!

Did you know that while hops are generally tricky to grow in North Carolina (they’re more of a “tails California” plant), there are a few varieties that perform well in our climate, like Cascade and these gorgeous Zeus bines we saw at last week? Their trellises had me dreaming of a little neighbor-to-neighbor hop farm… just have to convince to go halves on some rhizomes with us… 🪴

Is it just me or was that 4-day weekend still a few days too short? 🙋Working on getting back to the grind has been a challenge today, so a little motivation is definitely needed.
sent this pic over after chopping down a whole damn log cabin’s worth of trees in his backyard so he could get some sun on that pool! That hard work payed off yesterday for sure. Hope everyone had as rad of a 4th as we did! 🍻

Forgot our fishing poles at home, but we still managed to catch this wild beast out at the marina this weekend! 🦈🥒
We’re always down to try a pickle beer cause who doesn’t love a good pickle am I right? This bad boy from was by far the pickliest we’ve tasted yet! I personally might not drink more than one in a sitting, but I think it would be a cool one to play around cooking with (beer can chicken anyone?) if I had a few extra rolling around the cooler.

Missing the ☀️ from this weekend already.
We met Townes, the owner of at NC brewers & Music Festival (check out our chat with him on the NCBMF episode!) so we had to go check his place out while we were in town! He wasn’t there sadly, otherwise we would have given him a high five and three thumbs up for the beautiful space and delicious brews. If you’re a kombucha person, this is the place for you! If you’re not, there are still plenty of great options for you. We’ll be back soon! 🍻

We’re spending our Saturday afternoon at in Winston Salem, rocking some tunes and trying all the delicious brews they have to offer. There’s co****le, snacks from our pal Nathan at and bubbles & chalk for the kiddos. What more could you ask for on a sunny June day??

Had to get creative to show you the color on this one! 🍵🦎
We did a theme beer haul yesterday—going by the label only, we picked 6 beers with D&D as the inspiration. This one was by and called “Toxic Earth,” a double IPA brewed with matcha and local honey. First things first, that color is wild! Unfortunately, none of us are really matcha people, but it was still an interesting brew. Earthy, green, sweet, with a milky creaminess—who knows, it could be a matcha for you! 😉
