The Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos in Rovaniemi is one of the biggest snow hotels in the world, and sleeps about 70 guests. This spectacularly handsome attraction and landmark is carved each year to be different in appearance - it is scheduled to remain open until March 31st:

Ready, steady, GO! 🦌💨 Did you know that reindeer racing is a tradition in the Lapland?
The racing season kicks off today. The reindeer are professionally trained and cared for, and from spring to autumn, they live a normal reindeer life, grazing free in the forest. 🙂🙂🤣

Deputy Chief of Mission Christopher Krafft and his wife Mary are enjoying their first winter in Finland where the scenery is different from his previous postings in Uganda and Zambia. However, coming from the state of Michigan – one of the coldest regions in the United States – DCM Krafft isn’t afraid of snow and ice and absolutely loved his recent trip to Lapland.
