Y’all I’m gonna pretend it’s still even though it’s technically Saturday both here and in the UK where our next featured guest of episodes past hails from. Last fall my mom came to me fangirling about this guy in you did these next level inclusive dance videos that people of all abilities could equitably participate and jam out to. She’d been using them for some of her students and said I needed to get in touch with him. And when the queen mothers proliferates, you follow. And boy am I glad I did. AJ is not only a kindred musical theatre spirit, hilarious and talented but he is the true definition of an ally to the disability community. This isn’t something specifically for “the wheelchair people”. It’s a fun class that anyone can join in on, leading us toward a more inclusive environment. Please all fellow wheel queeners, if I haven’t sold you on how awesome this man is I encourage you to try out one of his classes. You can find out more at www.move withal.com [image description: AJ a white male with a brown beard and black baseball cap is pouting at the camera. He is wearing a white shortsleeved shirt that says “Stay Homo” in black lettering]. 🦄

On this your are taking it back to our first episode. One of the most profound models pertaining to the disability experience came from mentor and coach extraordinaire Dan James . Take the red pill, nothing changes. Take the blue one and you walk away from your life as a disabled person. Which do you take? This is applicable to many parts of identity, even if you aren’t disabled tell us in the comments your journey with this question. It’s time to MEET YOUR QUEENS!!! First up, For as long as she’s been able to talk, Christine has never been afraid to speak her mind. This passion quickly morphed into advocating for the disability community. For over twenty years Christine has fought to help people discover the strength of their voice through the conduits of education, performance and public speaking. When her head isn't stuck in a cheesy romance novel, you will find Christine on or near a stage, traipsing The Happiest Place on Earth, writing away on her blog, and attending various musical theatre and/or geek conventions from California to New York. She is beyond humbled and thrilled to use her Ms. Wheelchair California 2020 title to help promote the inclusion and equitable representation of people with disabilities in the arts and entertainment world. Be sure to tune in to the next coming at ya soon!
