And just like that, the Church has left the four walls of the building. What an incredible time to be alive! I believe we are going to see a move in the harvest unlike anything we have seen before. For too long we have kept the gospel contained in a fixed place instead of heeding Jesus’ last command, “GO therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..” Matt 28:19
What if turning our backs on our auditoriums could be the catalyst for the greatest revival of hearts across the earth? What if it has caused us to see beyond the narrow-vision of our boxes and unleashed our peripherals across the expanse of horizon of people wandering in our city streets and basking on our online platforms waiting for the answer to their souls? What if church was never meant to be a sit-down show but a mobilised army on the frontline? And what if we embrace change? A reset? And what if we don’t. What is sobering to me is that we can’t miss this moment but there’s potential we might. Whatever it costs and whatever it looks like, yes, a resounding yes. Do it Lord, don’t leave anyone behind! Unite Your Church and expand us to receive what You are doing! May every heart be open God, especially mine.

365 days a year, 7 days a week, this is where it’s at. No matter what is happening, what is required, what is removed - this one thing remains.

Daily devotion.

The thing about daily devotion is it isn’t just daily. It’s hourly. It’s by the minute, moment by moment, down to the seconds between moments. Devotion is all encompassing and leaves no room for anything else. I am consumed by Him. His Word. His voice. His heart. When everything is unsteady - He is the Rock. When we try and find our own footing - He is still the Rock and won’t be moved. We can land on Him whenever we are ready. How safe Jesus is. His constance saves us in the manic. We can’t confuse and interpret “devotion” as a task, as a time that we read the Bible and tick off a list. It’s not some run-of-the-mill exercise. Devotion is something so much deeper. How do you put it into words, how do you give something so indescribable the justice? The Person; the One. I don’t think I ever could. When everything else is taken away, at the end of the day all we really have is Jesus. The beginning and the end. But it’s so easy to fill in the middle with other things. To get swept away in a whirlwind instead of in His wind. This time just convinces me even more of how worthy He is to have everything. Take it all Jesus, take it all! Throw down what needs to be thrown down, tear what was never meant to be sewn, rework anything that didn’t have Your fingerprints and bring us back to the purity and transparency of communion. Take down the fancy lights, the scripted prayers and the expectation that we thought we were supposed to come as anything else other than ourselves. “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us” Rom 5:8 😭❤️

This is Emma. She’s the kind of person EVERYONE wants to be friends with. She carries the heart of Jesus and walks the gift of friendship with everyone she meets, no exceptions. 🙅🏽 Her very existence draws people into the reality of Him as friend; His compassion, His nearness, His investment in every detail, His listening, when He doesn’t say anything but His Presence is enough to bring healing. This is Emma. Long before she ever opens her mouth she makes an impact. I’m yet to find anybody, ever, upon the entire earth, who could come up with a bad word to say about her. Her life and devotion speak volumes, much louder than words. It’s something extraordinary when we are in a world where we are taught to fight that she doesn’t win her battles with a loud voice or by stomping her feet - she wins them with a pure heart. In a generation fixated on “becoming something” and “putting ourselves out there” she draws no attention to herself, choosing instead to be still, leading a quiet life before an audience of One. She knows the secret place. I am convinced that on that Day, it’s ones like Emma who will surpass all the grandiose pomp of earth and be seated in positions so much higher in heaven. But let’s not wait til then to notice. The lights are on NOW and it’s time for a perception revolution 👊

Who is the Father celebrating today? May we always see with His eyes. Let someone know how valued they are; great or small, there is no illusion before God ⭐️

Every now and then you meet someone and it changes everything. James is one of these people. James Beng Lee is thought-provoking, wise, humble, honourable, joyful, generous and kind. He has a heart to see a global movement of ones coming to the arms of Jesus with a resounding “yes!” and him, together with Steve Chong and the RICE Movement crew are already seeing the fruit of lives laid down. In this latest interview James unleashes timeless, simple truths that unlock the nature and heart of God for humanity and encourages us to step into a greater level of leadership. James somehow manages to dance between complete childlikeness and wisdom extraordinaire in absolute harmony. The humility of him and his wife, continually choosing the narrow path, that low road, is why these are some of our greats.

Something that matters more than gifting is opportunity.

We live in a culture that puts so much emphasis on gifting -
but the problem is that each of us are created unique, with individual aptitude, creative concepts, perspective and ability - so who determines who’s gifting is better than the other? It’s not the gifting itself that determines success in any given area, it’s something else - opportunity. Each of us are individually crafted, granted abilities right from the womb by the Father, but not all of us get the positions or platforms rightful of that gifting. Because without opportunity that skillset remains hidden, unused or abused. Platforms can therefore be somewhat dubious. I believe that more than being achiever awarders we need to be opportunity givers 💪🏽. The best way we can empower people in their skillset isn’t necessarily more training in that field as much as it is the opportunity to use it. There are gifted people right across the earth in nations we don’t even talk about. And not because of lack of talent, but because of lack of opportunity. When we move from an ability mindset to an opportunity mindset we move from self-discovery and start looking for ways to discover others. How can I create pathways for someone else, a neighbour, for a people group, an entire nation? That might mean holding someone who was abused in a path of healing. It might mean freeing someone from slavery. It might mean a life-giving word for someone who has never been encouraged. It might mean creating jobs. It might mean sacrifice. Maybe it’s improving education or seeing life available for all and an end to abortion. Whatever it means for us, may we continually move towards advocating the voice of others, in sober judgment of where we are because of the opportunity given us.
