Every year in every nook and corner, many people are daily losing their hard-earned money to cyber fraudsters. With attractive words, Cyber fraudsters are siphoning off the money and cheating innocent people. It is not due to lack of knowledge but because of lack of common sense.

CP appealed public to follow the following “10 Principles “ to avoid Cyber Crimes
1) Not everything in the virtual world is genuine. Do not believe them blindly.
2) Never share your personal identity credentials.
3) Something which is unbelievable on the internet is generally fraud.
4) There are no shortcuts to earn money. Only with hard work, one can earn money.
5) Self-control is crucial. Do not fall prey to fraudsters for satiating your desire and greed.
6) Dig deep before believing anyone or anything on the internet.
7) Question them and take decisions calmly.
8) Be rational and never lose your common sense. Do not be emotional on the internet.
9) Do not be complacent. Fraudsters target your weakness and not your strength.
10) Do not get into friendship with totally strangers or unknown or suspicious persons.

DCP Madhapur Venkateshwarlu Said.. People should be very careful in Social media. One should lock their profile picture to prevent duplicates of their accounts. If one notices any suspicious activity or duplication of his account he should immediately report it. Generally, people don’t easily tend to believe fraudsters in real life. People who dress in the Military and Police dress and post ads on websites to sell things to make you believe they are genuine and cheats you most of the times. Remember banks will never call you and ask your OTPs. If you got any call and asking for OTP then suspect it as a fraudster. Don’t answer any unknown video calls, fake loan calls. Don’t believe in Investment fraud.
