LIBRATE ICCEC IN BENUE MISSION DISTRICT
(Commentary from the ICCEC Director of communications)
ICCEC or CEC is a very popular church found all over the world,. It is a Catholic Church because it is from the famous Roman Catholic church and universal. ( visit www.iccec.org).
Since the arrival of the congregation in Nigeria, the church has come to take it's main station in Bemue State where it has many more churches and Priests than any other region in the country. But the church is lagging in it's ability to librate, as each appointed head appointed by the bishop of the congregation in Nigeria fails to perform in the task of expanding and liberating the church, as each church is made to operate independently as if it is not under one congregation and one bishop. When the bishop comes and goes, the church still remains lusive as if the bishop didn't ask the leaders to sit up for the task. And this attitude is taking the congregation to no where, unless there is a change of the attitude. Recently, the bishop, Most Rev Ibiso, when he came, he vehemently advised that the church should be librated., But who will lead the libration process? This is where it becomes unclear for the way forward of ICCEC in Benue Mission District. During the Bishop's visit, Most Rev Ibiso Igani directed for the libration of ICCEC in the district. He said all the churches should come together and be doing everything together as one, but who will take the lead.since the Dean of the district, Venerable Ferdinand Uzaka is at large? The Venerable distanced himself from the Bishop's visit, though he was fully aware of the visit. At this juncture, there should be a turning point to librate ICCEC and let's move forward.

THREE PRIESTS ORDAINED AT TONGU
Three Priests were ordained at St. Thomas Pro-cathedral, Tongu. This was performed by the ICCEC Bishop of Nigeria, Most Rev Ibiso Igani when three deacons were presented to him for ordination by the Vocation Director, Rev Fr Godwin Tile. The ordained ministers were Rev Frs. Michael Teryiila Asemakaha, Kenneth Aondona Anyor and Matthew Yonkyo. They were thereafter posted to various charismatic churches of the congregation to take charge of it's activities. Fr. Michael Asemakaha was posted to Gboko, Fr. Kenneth Anyor was posted to Ihugh while Fr Matthew Yonkyo was posted to Mbatiav to take over from Rev Fr Dan Tyonum who was to move to Tongu..
While preaching during the ordination mass, the Charismatic bishop warned strongly against the extortion of money from christians in the church. In his words, when priests are sent for the mission of bringing the people closer to God they rather dump the mission and go on "Nam inyaregh, Nam inyaregh"(give me money, give me money). He said when money blindfolds a clergy he can no longer see Christ and the way to bring people closer to him. Bishop Ibiso therefore charged them to work as mission Priests to achieve the aim of the Charismatic Episcopal church and Christianity in general.
Also at Tongu, the first bishop council was held. The council which was Chaired by the bishop himself iorganised ICCEC into parishes, Vicarates, etc. Societies were also named as follows:
1. Bible Society
2. ICCEC Women Organisation
3. ICCEC Men Organization
4. ICCEC Youth Organization
5. Tiv/English choirs
6. Altar Servants.
It was concluded that ICCEC - Nigeria are to join the Boys Brigade of Nigeria for it's securities and discipline.
A five-man Education and Finance management committee was also inaugurated. The committee was headed by Rev Fr Michael Asemakaha.
At the end of the meeting, Bishop Ibiso Igani enjoined Bemue Mission District to be as one body by organising societal activities to help librate ICCEC in the district and keep the congregation very lively and vibrant.

WILL HOLY TRINITY CHURCH, IHUGH BE TRULY RETURNED TO ICCEC?
This is the question parading the minds of observers of the Charismatic Episcopal Church (CEC) in Nigeria.
It could be recalled that ICCEC MEDIA - Nigeria announced the preparedness of the return of Holy Trinity church, Ihugh to ICCEC congregation since it falled out of the congregation due to its non -conformation with the Charismatic Episcopal Church canon's. The church was to be handled back to ICCEC bishop, Most Rev Ibiso Igani during his official visit to Bemue Mission District for ordination of three Priests and two Deacon's. When the return was pronounced by the wife of the late venerable, Cyprian Nyiyongu' who was in charge of the church after her husband's death, an ICCEC priest, Rev Fr Godwin Tile was directed to move to the church immediately to observe and make the necessary preparations for the handing over. The bishop came and ordained the two deacons right there on the next day of his arrival, and he proceeded to Tongu where he ordained the three Priests there on the following day.
But the confusion is that the handing over was a verbal performance without legitimate documents of the said church being handed over to the bishop. And on the fateful day of the bishop's ordination of two deacons an unexpected happened as offertory (money) disappeared at the altar when the Bishop and his cerebrants moved down to undress. It was also learnt that such is the norm of the church in question.; which is against ICCEC canons. In the same vane, the the family now in charge of the church are not willing to free the church to ICCEC based on their utterances. So the return of Holy Trinity church, Ihugh to ICCEC is congregation is questionable. However we lay in wait to hear and comply with the Bishop's conclusion as observers are confused.
Meanwhile, a newly established ICCEC church - St. Lucia Mission Church, Ihugh is warming up and Rev Fr Kenneth Aondona Anyor is the priest in charge of the church.

This is to make it well known to those concerned that Rev Fr Kenneth Aondona Anyor is the priest in charge of St. Lucia Mission Church, Ihugh
