Heartfelt tribute to our netball star 🌺

In a moving gesture, players from the Australian and New Zealand netball teams wore black armbands during their October 22nd match – honoring our beloved Unaisi "Una" Rokoura, former Fiji Netball captain and coach.

Tragically, Una was swept away by strong currents in the Rewa River while gathering kai with another woman. Her body was recovered three days later near Waila.

Una wasn't just a player – she was one of Fiji's most accomplished and respected athletes, a true legend of our game.

Seeing our Pacific netball family come together like this shows how much she meant to all of us. Rest in power, dear Una. Your spirit lives on in every game. 🖤

So proud of our Fiji Warriors! 🏉

Our boys put on a fantastic show at Prince Charles Park in Nadi yesterday, securing a solid 36-19 victory over the Australian Stockman Country side!

What makes this win even more special? The match was played in support of the Fiji Cancer Society, with all proceeds going toward this important cause. 💛

The Fijian rugby community is mourning the loss of former Flying Fijians captain Joeli Veitayaki, who died at the age of 58.🙏

Veitayaki played for Fiji between 1994 and 2003, earning 49 Test caps and featuring at two Rugby World Cups. He also played professionally in New Zealand - representing the Chiefs, Blues and Northland - as well as in Ireland for Ulster Rugby.

Just saw these beautiful scenes online! 🌅

The sunrise in Taiwan is absolutely magical - the sky turns all shades of orange and pink behind Guishan Island. People ride through forests on small trains, breathing that fresh air.

There's also a cool kite festival with giant kites filling the sky, and a bonsai show in Taipei with dozens of precious miniature trees.

Would be nice to have such cultural festivals here in Fiji too! 🌺

Bula! 🎉 Today is a historic day for health in Fiji!

We have incredible news to share: Fiji has officially eliminated trachoma as a public health problem! 🌺

This amazing achievement has been validated by the World Health Organization and announced by The Fred Hollows Foundation.

What makes this even more special? As explained by our own Pacific Trachoma Lead Dr Anasaini Cama, Fiji's trachoma presented in unique ways. It was crucial research on eyelid scarring in children that helped complete our country's successful elimination dossier.

This is a testament to years of hard work by our healthcare workers, communities, and partners. Our children can now grow up free from this preventable disease.

So proud of our islands today! 🇫🇯 💙

Just saw something incredible – 15,947 drones flew together in China to create the most magical "firework" show in the sky! They even set a Guinness World Record! 🏆

The performance was called "A Firework Just For Me" – how romantic is that? And guess what – even Elon Musk shared it online!

Imagine seeing this over Suva Bay or Natadola Beach... 🏝️ Drone lights reflecting on the ocean, telling Fijian stories in the sky! Someone please bring this tech to Fiji – our sunsets deserve this kind of magic! 💙

New era for Fijian football! ⚽️

Big news from Fiji FA – they’ve just appointed Stéphane Auvray, former pro footballer and captain of Guadeloupe, as the new head coach of our men’s national team!

The 44-year-old French midfielder brings strong credentials: UEFA coaching licenses and experience as a FIFA talent coach. He was officially unveiled in Suva on Monday, taking over from Rob Sherman.

Our future champions are home! 🏠🤗

A huge welcome back to Fiji's youth and junior handball teams, who returned yesterday after making history at the International Handball Federation Oceania Trophy! This is a major moment for handball in our country.

In an absolutely stunning debut, our Youth Girls Team grabbed third place by defeating Australia 24-19 – and get this, these amazing girls only learned the game two months ago! 🌟

Our Junior Team also made us proud, finishing fifth with a solid 27-19 win over the Cook Islands! 🥳
