Before I ask stickermule to delete all my account info, I figured I’d take them up on their $4 tshirt offer. Hope they like it! Back in September I wanted to find a new sticker manufacturer but because of a whole range of factors, I stuck with stickermule because their prices and shipping times worked for me with stuff I had coming up. But then yesterday they sent me a text and today they sent me an email and the fact that they’re tripling down on this delusional woe is me stance that being a trump supporter is terrifying just sent me spiraling. I spent last night ordering samples from different manufacturers, and this time I’m doing it with more intention since last time I was just ordering in a hurry and so of course I didn’t like how my designs turned out. I AM SO PRODUCTIVE!!! Honestly I feel like I’m not productive at all and that I’m half-assing everything because I never have enough time to do everything I need to do to grow my business to the level it’s wanting to reach and can reach and I feel like I’m holding it back. But then I remember I really do a lot and that’s amazing in and of itself. I illustrate and letter all of my designs myself, I print out my art prints and cards, fold and package the cards, package the notepads and keychains and pins, pack and ship all my shop and wholesale orders, take my own product photos, built and maintain my website, do customer service, do admin stuff, do my own social media, take my fur babies on walks, and work a full time day job. And manage to rewatch the office on a minimum 12x a year basis and keep a plant alive! I do not however do my own bookkeeping because I have no brain cells left after everything else. And like I’m a normal person not Taylor Swift so what I’m doing is enough. Aren’t I just so super fast at packing up orders??? I wish. 12 minutes condensed into 90 seconds ✨ And if you’re wondering how I’m able to watch the entire series of the office 13-15 times a year, this is how 😂 I feel like I’ve used Karma for multiple multiple posts but it really felt fitting for this reel. Two years ago I maybe had a total of 2 orders but I had huge hopes. I was stuck in an absolutely miserable and toxic and quite frankly psychologically abusive job but I had my iPad and drawing kept me sane. When I left that job I had a month off before starting my current job and I just went full force with drawing and making new stickers. Side note, I feel like our society needs to allow us all to have a full month off every year. Anyways, I never thought I’d have over 12k orders, ship to every state, ship to at least 12 countries (quite possibly more but I’m forgetful), and have as of yesterday 50 retailers stocking my stuff. Sometimes I get so caught up in how busy I am that I forget where I was 2 years ago but when I do remember, I smile knowing this is the biggest 🖕 to the miserable curmudgeons who made my life hell on top of grossly underpaying me. I’ll just go and make more than both their salaries combined in one year. Long story short, don’t stay in toxic environments, a job is not worth your mental health. If you’re excited and passionate about something, give it your all. I love selling wholesale so much because not only does it get my products into the hands of retailers and therefore customers who may have never found me, but I also get to discover some of the cutest small businesses that carry the best brands and carry items I may not have ever discovered without that relationship with the retailer. I also really love building friendships with them and following their businesses’ journeys and seeing them grow and thrive.
