Going to see The Eras Tour in Indianapolis this weekend? Might as well go do some shopping! 🛍️
Here are my two favorite Indianapolis women owned small businesses! And if you’re going to the Indiana state museum you might also find my stuff in the gift shop!
Remember to shop local! These businesses are community members and by supporting them you support the community that opened their bracelet stacked arms for you. Eras weekends are so hectic for the host cities but the tour brings such a beneficial economic boost. The best way to say thank you to these cities and communities is by shopping small and shopping local!

Staaaaaahhhp. Buying from Temu and Shein and all these places hurts artists, hurts small businesses, hurts our economy, and hurts you.
And also I’m so tired of talking about them 😂
But seriously it feels like every day I’m seeing one of my peers have their designs stolen. I usually just don’t look and have knowledge that my stuff is out there without my consent and just live with it. But then I remember I owe the IRS the same amount I sold my car for and that I work a full time job and run my business full time and the rent is too darn high and I need a job to have healthcare that won’t cover my medicine and all the other exciting things about living in a post capitalist hellscape. And then I see so many shops I follow that are closing or having to go from a brick and mortar to online only or that can’t order as much as they like. Our buying decisions have actual effects on our communities. And to continue shopping on these sites is being willingly complicit to the damage they have on our economy. We can blame politicians for the economy all we want but a lot of it has to do with our choices as consumers. So stop buying cheap junk from these sites and go out and support small businesses in your community.
And shameless plug, go to my website and buy yourself some little treats 🛍️

I’m sooooooooooooooooo done with Etsy. So so so done. Problem is, 70% of my revenue comes from Etsy. It’s great that it has a built in audience and I’m so close to reaching 30k sales on Etsy but I just can’t anymore. I understand the risk I take with the Taylor stuff which is why I’ve been introducing new designs that aren’t related to existing intellectual property. Or so I thought. It never even crossed my mind to see if “tell your dog I said hi” was trademarked because like if you’re a dog lover and you know people with awesome dogs and you probably like your friend’s dog more than your friend, saying “tell your dog I said hi” is so generic and benign.
Long story short, I just don’t even feel safe having anything on Etsy. It’s like an easy button for people trolling for designs to copy or listings to report for frivolous trademarks. Like I’d never have a use for it but apparently “boy mom” is trademarked? Which I think speaks volumes about the trademark system in the US that these benign everyday things can be trademarked.
Also, I went to get my brand name, MangoIllustrated, trademarked and my approval success is low because Illustrated is too common of a word and is generally ignored and that just leaves Mango which is already within a lot of trademarked names.
So that’s fun.
Anyways, please please please, if you like my products and the work I do, of course please shop my website, but also please sign up for the rewards system on my website and send referrals to everyone you know. If anyone purchases something with your referral link, they get $10 off and you get a $10 off coupon (cart subtotal must equal $10 after discounts and before shipping and taxes). Sharing on socials also gets you points and 100 points equals $1 off so if you accumulate 1300 points, that’s $13 off an order.
I love you all, I do not love Etsy, my website is prettier, prices are lower and international shipping is lower too!
Please please please spr
