If I have the time while on my morning runs with these two, I will regularly take trails I've never ran before. Sometimes I have a slight idea where those trails might lead and am correct, other times I'm pleasantly surprised to find a new trail that connects to one I know, there are also times I take a trail that I don't have enough time to explore the whole thing and have to turn around, but every time I enjoy the trees, the the flowers, the sounds of the birds and streams and the dogs that keep me company. Those are what make a 4,5,6 mile run bearable for me...I think there's a metaphor to life somewhere in there.

After publishing the last episode It brought to light that there was an error on Spotify. As mentioned earlier in this experience I was running into issues with Apple podcasts and in doing so created two podcast platforms on Spotify. I have since fixed the issue, to where there is only the active platform on Spotify now, however if you were subscribed and relying on Spotify to update you on new episodes, you may need to resubscribe to the active platform. Again much love to all those who have listened and am excited for episode 3!

Matthew 18:3 "And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven."
Reflecting on the conversation I had for episode 2, I think it's more than fair to say there is wisdom in scripture and ancient text. I think it's also fair to say interpretation is a very subjective way of defining what scripture is to be. In the journey of undefined, I'm attempting to dissect the structural ways of thinking into forms that make sense to me rather than that which is broadly accepted. This scripture took on new meaning tonight. Having had kids of my own I now know my understanding of the concept taught in this passage is flawed or atleast incomplete. Kids are often not submissive, meek, humble, patient or willing to submit. They are full of wonder, questions, they seek adventure and new things, they question the status quo and the necessity of the mundane, they find amazement in almost anything they come across, and they live in moment (mostly 😂.) If a creator expected me to become as a child, it's that spirit I hope to capture and hold on to as I move through life.

My incredibly talented wife made this freakin awesome cake for my birthday and it would be a shame if it only blessed my eyes lol. Super grateful for her and for the sense of adventure she has helped foster in me. I feel like the last few years has been some of the most soul searching years of my life, but this last year has been one in which I've found a part of myself I never knew existed. That part I feel was found solely through spending an abundance of time out in nature and experiencing the world as it is, not how we've made it out to be. Now many who know me know I'm incredibly uncultured in the world of music, 😂 but it seemed to work out in my favor when Lani showed me the song, "Rocky Mountain High," by John Denver earlier this week. "He was born in the summer of his 27th year...his sight turned inside himself to try and understand, the serenity of a clear, blue mountain lake....he knows he's be a poorer man of he never saw an eagle fly..." I don't know if a song has ever felt so applicable, and am grateful everyday to live in a place where I'm regularly inspired by nature. Thank you to everyone who has wished me a happy birthday! I'm grateful for all of you!

I'm under no illusion that I'm someone of extreme importance to this world. I also recognize that in comparison to many other platforms and podcasts 24 downloads in 24 hours is considered rookie numbers and no big deal. But the response, support, and thoughtful conversations with others that have followed the airing of the podcast's first episode has been overwhelmingly constructive and personally optimistic. The thought that within a single day my friends, loved ones, acquaintances, and strangers have invested collectively 24 hours of their lives into a conversation between my wife and I is very humbling and I am incredibly grateful. I apologize for the struggle some have faced with gaining easy access to the conversation, I'm working on it, but in the mean time I am extremely excited to see where this goes and what community can be built! Thank you all for listening and your feedback!

In regards to the newly released episode, I recognize that to many of those whom I love and may love me, I've strayed into some controversial ideas. I address a personal struggle with God and the Commandments that so many hold dear, we dive into LGBTQ issues and more. I can see a world that could view me as, "lost." And maybe if we define the word, "lost," we may draw a similar conclusion. But to me this conversation illustrates a sense of wonder, a wonder of what this world is, what ideas are, what meaning and purpose is, and how they are found. This is what part of undefined means to me, and this is just a way to spread that idea into the world for both the world, and the tiny eyes in my life who are watching.
