This little monster, our 7 month old Levi, won the Cutest Costume at a very crowded campground Halloween celebration! The funny thing is we bought his Costume at a children's consignment shop, Once Upon A Child, for 90% off making it only $1 😁

Original Halloween 1978 Filming Locations then and now when Halloween Ends

Manda loves the Halloween movies. We were fortunate enough to drive around to all of the different filming locations in Pasadena, California. We have had this video partially finished for a long time. We thought what perfect timing to release our video on the same day Halloween Ends was released. We had so much fun as a family making this video. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!!

THANKS FOR WATCHING!!! SERIOUSLY!

Isaac, who is 5 years old with high functioning Autism, absolutely ADORES his baby brother. Levi is now 6 months old! He's learning how to use his "big boy" chair. We weren't sure how Isaac would adjust to a baby in the house but he's luckily obsessed with him in the best way. He's always wanting to hug him, hold him, read to him, etc. Levi adores Isaac right back and is always giggling and smiling at him. I was blessed to capture one of their sweet interactions with my camera. I love their love for each other and watching them bond.

Yesterday we took our kids on a literal "field trip" ! We went blueberry and peach picking at . We never imagined being able to pick peaches this far north! It was awesome to show them how their favorite fruits are grown and have them work on their hand/eye coordination by picking the fruit off the trees! The kids are now looking forward to their follow up homeschool math and science projects of making blueberry popsicles, peach pie and fruit smoothies where they will work on math, science, and cooperation. We're definitely looking forward to those delicious final products 🤤😍!! Outings like these are always unpredictable due to the different challenges we have. Melia, our oldest is 12, has severe autism and is nonverbal. Aubrey is 10 and the best sister to her siblings. Isaac is 5, and has high functioning autism. Levi is 5 months old and the happiest baby, who sometimes needs full outfit changes. The orchard was awesome and we were blessed that everyone really enjoyed it and we had no issues! We even got to enjoy their delicious apple cider donuts which lived up to their hype and were exactly what we were craving. Melia had gluten free Oreos due to her Celiac Disease.

Melia (12 yr old Autism Non Verbal) insanely loves water! She also loves to go on swings. Just look at that huge smile on her face! This was the perfect combination with the Atlantic Ocean behind her & a FENCE! YES, a fence because if it wasn't for that fence she would run full speed into that ocean despite all the dangers.

Unfortunately this hike wasn't safe for Melia (12 yr old non verbal Autism). Isaac (5yr old High Functioning Autism) did really well but I just had to hold his hand really tight. He has poor coordination & trips really easy. We are so blessed to be able to enjoy Maine's coast with all of the odds stacked against us!

We walked all around Boston in almost 90° heat! Our daughter Melia did such a great job in such a chaotic busy environment. She is 12 yrs old & is autistic. She is also non verbal & can get easily overwhelmed from heat/sensory issues. She had no issues the entire day!!!

Isaac (5 years old with high functioning autism) holding his baby brother Levi (3 months old) this morning. We weren't sure how Isaac would react to having a baby in the house due to his autism. He pleasantly surprised us by loving his baby brother to pieces!! He begs to hold him daily and talks in the sweetest little voice saying things like"hey little guy" and "you're so cute!". Isaac is the proudest big brother and makes sure to tell EVERYONE we see no matter where we are "We have a baby! He's cute!" . Levi is always all smiles when his big brother is talking to or playing with him! I was so excited to capture these moments of them together 😍.

Click below to head to our YouTube channel to check out a sneak peek of our trip to Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area ! All of us really enjoyed it but Melia , our 12 year old daughter who is non verbal and has severe autism was especially mesmerized! She absolutely loves water and we loved that it was fenced in and safe.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous so we decided to load up and go on an adventure! Our first stop was to see a waterfall! It was absolutely beautiful. The waterfall was called Resica Falls, the walk from the parking lot to the falls is very, very short and partially handicap accessible, to a point. It is on a boy scout reservation so only one area is accessible. Dogs are not allowed on the small trail. We highly recommend visiting this site when visiting the Poconos area. Our next stop was a playground with a tunnel slide (Isaac's FAVORITE thing at a playground). They loved the fact that the slide was still wet on the bottom and was turned into a makeshift water slide! Our last stop was a store called Country Kettle and the selection of bulk candy they have is mind boggling . The kids were beyond excited to pick out a pound and a half of various candies. All in all it was a super fun and successful day.

A few AUTISM take aways from our adventure:

The waterfall at our first stop is roped off, but if you're not careful your loved one could easily go under or try to step over the rope causing severe injury. We had a TIGHT hold on our kiddos for this reason!

The playground was great and even had a handicap swing and was partially fenced. This caused the fun to be more stress free!

The store was HUGE, we kept a tight hand on the kiddos in there as well in case of wandering. Aside from wandering they could accidentally break a fragile item.

The candy department can be tricky for kiddos as well. Melia ( our 12 year old daughter who has severe autism) would try to open the lid to something she wanted to grab it because being non verbal, she wasn't able to ask. We had her point to items we knew were gluten free(Melia also has Celiac Disease) to see if she wanted them. I could see kids with or without autism reaching into the barrels for yummy treats so keep an eye out for that.

All in all I think we had a very successful day and super fun family adventure!

Fun, Easy, SENSORY activity!!

Today was a rainy day so we stayed inside and made EDIBLE PLAYDOUGH!!

Recipe:
1 cup frosting ( any flavor/ color you wish)
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Mix until playdough consistency. We used a rubber spatula to start and then finished mixing by hand but I'm sure you could use a mixer on low as well.

If it's too sticky to mold and play with add more powdered sugar by the 1/2 teaspoon until it's the right texture. You could add a little sugar on the table as well to keep it from sticking to your play surface.

I love doing activities like this with our 12 year old daughter Melia who has severe Autism and is non verbal because she also has Celiac Disease. Celiac Disease causes her body to attack her intestines if she ingests the gluten protein which is found in foods containing Wheat, Rye, Malt or Barley. Many store bought playdoughs are made with wheat flour. Playing with this version of playdough means I don't have to worry if she sneaks a bite because it's completely gluten free!!

This is a super fun activity for all ages to do together, although older kids could definitely do it on their own as well with permission.

We had so much fun in "The Sweetest Place on Earth" the past two weeks! We visited Hershey's Chocolate World ( ) , enjoyed our RV Resort and got to catch up with friends that live in the area! If you're planning a visit with loves ones with sensory issues we suggest going during a weekday closer to closing or right at opening to avoid overstimulation from crowds. We didn't go to Hershey Park so we unfortunately don't have any tips for there.

We are so excited to make it to Williamsburg, Virginia! Our 1st major field trip with our new baby was to the Jamestown Settlement, AMERICA'S BIRTHPLACE!!! It was no walk in the park 🤣! Melia decided to empty to freshly filled bottles of hand sanitizer all over the front seat of our truck as we were getting ready to go! Levi threw up all over Manda as soon as we arrived into the Jamestown Settlement! We still had a good time & Manda was exhausted from carrying Levi as I took pictures & recorded.

We wanted to share the moments our 3 older children were finally able to meet their newborn baby brother! We were in the hospital for 3 days due to a C-section and visitors weren't allowed. They were ecstatic when we finally arrived at Grandma and Pop Pop's house with their new baby brother! We have a full video coming soon!!

Melia (12 yr old non verbal autism) & her sister Aubrey (10 yr old Neurotypical) paddling behind her. Melia loves water & will run into any kind whether it's alligator infested, freezing, too hot like at Yellowstone or too fast. We have to hold Melia very tight near water. This is why I was worried about bringing Melia on out the canoe. However, Melia was very good & sat in the center of the canoe the whole time. She even enjoyed eating some snacks! She did try to jump up once & I was very fast at telling her to sit back down! I'm so happy we took the risk & brought her out on the water!!!!
