Few people had more enthusiasm for cheese than Diane Stemple. Diane passed away peacefully this week after a long illness. We are heartbroken, and a little too overwhelmed to be able to put into words what Diane’s friendship and spirit meant to us. We know many of our listeners were touched by Diane in some way. Please feel free to share your memories here. ❤️

One of the best parts of being a co-host on Cutting the Curd is that when we find a product we love, we have a really great reason to get to meet the maker and learn their story, and then share it with all of you. There is always a great story! Listen to Jessica’s conversation with Founder and CEO, Rebecca Brady to hear the story behind these popular seedy crackers, their workforce and Buffalo, NY home, and a whole lot of sports analogies.

We missed you! We’re back with a new episode, all about the Anne Saxelby Legacy Fund. ASLF has placed hundreds of young people in apprenticeships with Farmers, Cheesemakers and Purveyors across the country. The experience is much greater than one might think, influencing apprentices and hosts in meaningful and sometimes unexpected ways.

Kristina Graeber, Director of Programs is here with ASLF Apprentice Allison Sirota, and Farm Partner Mike Koch from FireFly Farms to tell us about the fund, the who what when, and a deep dive into the why.

The ASLF gala is coming up on 9/19 at Chelsea Market in NYC. Tickets, Online auction and raffles are available at www.annesaxelbylegacyfund.org
