Just resharing this little beaut tonight as I rewatched it and couldn’t believe the state my allotment plot started in back in 2019 when I first got the keys.
I’ve come a long way since then, not only with my gardening knowledge and the plot itself, but in my own personal attitude to the natural world. I’m more open to nature, to wildlife and to taking care of this planet. I’m actively seeking out ways to inspire and excite my kids about gardening and growing their own food. I’m constantly thinking of ways to fit more veg into my garden and allotment too.
And of course, my wonderful online audience has grown and grown and been on this journey with me too. Thank you so much if you follow me on here or over on YouTube. Your support and advice have gotten me through some really hard, tough times and I’m so thankful for you all.
I look forward to creating lots more content over the following months and maybe throwing in some new ideas too. Watch this space ☺️💕💕🌱

Did you know you can sow baked beans straight from the tin? Just make a drill, whack them in, cover and water! Have you tried this? #allotmentgardeb #allotmentlife #aprilfools #heinz
What seeds am I sowing for my vegetable garden this march?
I uploaded this to YouTube earlier and thought you might appreciate it on here too! It’s about 10 minutes long and is just me telling you what I’ll be sowing this month. From carrots to broccoli!
Of course, it’s always tempting to sow everything in march, but the weather can still be unpredictable and the soil hasn’t warmed up enough to direct sow much. So some patience is still required!
Let me know what you’re sowing in the comments. Hope you enjoy the video. If you do, pop over to my YouTube and subscribe for more video content! 🙂🌱🥕

How to make your allotment paths. Or at least, this is how I did mine.
I wanted to share this on here as well as YouTube (just search for Emma’s allotment diaries!) because I get so many questions asking me how I created my paths. I hope this video helps. If you have any questions, just leave them below and I’ll get back to you, presuming I know the answer! Lol.
Don’t forget, I’m just blundering along, whacking stuff in the ground most of the time. Your allotment plot is your space to enjoy, so make the paths you want and don’t get hung up on how it “should” be done. I mean, as long as you can actually walk down them safely, it’s a job done I say! 😂🤷♀️

I thought I would share my YouTube vlog on how I grew my pumpkin arch on here with you guys too. I hope this answers some of your questions on how I grew my pumpkins and how I built the archway.
Archways were bought from @lovewilko for £10 each.
