New Zealand (South Island) would easily be one of my more memorable tours. It was peaceful and serene. Spent most of my time on the saddle just absorbing the endless plains as I contemplated about my year. This experience made me feel so tiny in this huge world, as there was rarely anyone in sight. Started at Christchurch and ended in Queenstown. 524km over a course of 9 days. Will never forget the blue lakes and the 18 hour daylight!

Riding on the streets of New York was one of my most exhilirating experiences. It's an undescribable feeling to latch on to an inner-city rhythm that doesn't exist locally. The "grid map" system of the city also makes it easy to navigate. The streets is also home to many avid cyclists of all sorts. I managed to have a quick word with this one dude, who was a beginning bike messenger on his way to deliver a docket. I tried to follow close behind him but lost him pretty fast. Watch on to find out why!

Battling through the heat of the Taiwanese summer is something I would never forget. My buddy Roger Yeo C Leong and I could not have chosen a worser time to attempt this tour in 2016. The mountains were extremely harsh, and that high altitude only brings you closer to the sun. I remember not having to urinate for long hours, even as I have been gulping down litres of water, only to realise that I have been dehydrating massively via perspiration instead. Whatever strength or stamina you may have, will only get taken away by the immense heat. Which is why everytime we chanced upon a natural fountain that falls into the drains, we would not hesitate to dive in for a splash. This helped cool down our bodies a whole lot and helped us to stay refreshed. Looking back, amidst all the suffer that we had to go through, these longkang times were actually one of the most enjoyable and comforting experiences of the whole trip!

As we set off drenched, it only took an hour or so for our clothes to become dry while on the bikes. Gives you a an idea of how harsh the sun was. Memorable times!

Will never forget this moment of awe when I first walked into Times Square. I've seen this place alot in movies and television series, but experiencing the immense glare of the giant screens first hand is really something. I had to dismount my bike because it was too crowded on the sidewalk. Incredible!
