Chunky Does New Zealand 2017
New Zealand (South Island) would easily be one of my more memorable tours. It was peaceful and serene. Spent most of my time on the saddle just absorbing the endless plains as I contemplated about my year. This experience made me feel so tiny in this huge world, as there was rarely anyone in sight. Started at Christchurch and ended in Queenstown. 524km over a course of 9 days. Will never forget the blue lakes and the 18 hour daylight!
Cockpit View - New York City
Riding on the streets of New York was one of my most exhilirating experiences. It's an undescribable feeling to latch on to an inner-city rhythm that doesn't exist locally. The "grid map" system of the city also makes it easy to navigate. The streets is also home to many avid cyclists of all sorts. I managed to have a quick word with this one dude, who was a beginning bike messenger on his way to deliver a docket. I tried to follow close behind him but lost him pretty fast. Watch on to find out why!
First walk into NYC's Time Square
Will never forget this moment of awe when I first walked into Times Square. I've seen this place alot in movies and television series, but experiencing the immense glare of the giant screens first hand is really something. I had to dismount my bike because it was too crowded on the sidewalk. Incredible!
