Next week, Coleman will play in an AFL grand final in front of 100,000 people at the MCG against the team he supported as a little kid.

A couple of years ago he was playing reserves for Darwin Buffaloes.

We spoke to Ankers about his recent successful season in the Central Australian Football League, his time in the Ovens and Murray with Wangaratta, the premiership with Waratah, and what he would like to get out of the rest of his footy career.

Congratulations to William Rowlands who has received an invitation to attend the 2023 AFL Draft Combine. 💪

The AFL Draft Combine will showcase many of the country’s most talented draft-age boys footballers.

Measuring 178cm, Rowlands played 74 junior games for Southern Districts in the TIO NTFL Competition before moving to South Australia to play for Norwood in the SANFL Competition.

He represented the Cazalys NT Academy Side twice this year in the Coates Talent League and was selected in the AFL National Championship - Allies Side.

The three-day event will be held in Melbourne from Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8.

Selection to attend the AFL Draft Combine was based on the number of nominations provided by AFL recruiters, with all 18 clubs submitting a list of preferred Combine attendees.

AFL Northern Territory is pleased to provide a preview look into Round One of the 2023/24 TIO NTFL Season fixture. 👀

All clubs will play at TIO Stadium in Round One, with games commencing Friday night and matches on Saturday from 10am onwards.

Officially kicking off the 2023/24 TIO NTFL season will be a Women’s Premier League matchup between, Southern Districts and Waratah at 6:00pm on Friday 6 October, followed by the highly anticipated Grand Final re-match between Southern Districts and Waratah at the home of Territory Footy, TIO Stadium. 🏟

SEN – TERRITORY FOOTY CHAT: On SEN’s Fridays in the Top End, Raph Clarke, Rob Hale and myself had a chat about various Territory footy topics.

We spoke about Dylan Collis’ Loddon Valley Football League best-and-fairest win, Matt Dennis dominating for East Keilor, the Territory boys playing in an elimination final for Nyah Nyah West United and the boys cover Mattea Breed’s AFLW debut tonight

Rob also poses the question of whether having local players in the NTFL is overrated and Raph gives an update on how St Marys are shaping up heading into the season.
