Motor is mostly tore down. Looks like my issue was bad air filtration which basically led to sanding the bores and rings. We’ll get her fixed back up. Then I’ll change my style of filter. Thanks to my buddy Brock for still answering my phone calls 😂. He saves my a$$ constantly. He came out and provided all the knowledge and most of the muscle for getting her fixed. He also comes equipped with jokes! Thanks again brother!

Maxine is getting some goodies. My buddy is fixing up the NV4500 with some billet parts and making sure it’ll handle the new power being thrown at it. I’m also relocating the batteries again and putting in a steel holder instead of the plastic ones I kept breaking. No more batteries playing hop scotch in the trunk!

It looks worse than it is…. I hope. is out as is the TR-4050. It really was a great transmission it was just never built to handle the torque this motor puts out. AKA I’ll happily be putting it into one of my other cars. Time to hit up my buddy the diesel whisperer to fix my boo boos and beef it up some.

I got to meet a lot of really cool people this weekend. These two are both legends of the community. and Gene Winfield of If you don’t know them crawl out from under that rock and check them out. Gene is one of the Godfathers of the scene. He’s been chopping and cutting up cars for over 70 years. Kyle is the creator of Lo-Blo and an amazing fabricator in his own right. Super honored to have taken up some of their time.
