HON. IBEAWUCHI ALEX CONGRATULATES HON OKECHUKWU AKARA NWAOGU, THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF OYIGBO LGA, THE VICE CHAIRMAN HON. MRS. JULIANA NGOZI OKORIE AND THE 10 COUNCILORS OF THE AREA

The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyigbo Local Government Area on Thursday joined well-wishers, political stakeholders/leaders of the PDP in Oyigbo LGA to congratulate Hon. Okechukwu Akara Nwaogu the Executive Chairman of Oyigbo LGA, the Vice Chairman and the 10 councillors-elect as they were successfully sworn-in today at the Rivers State Government House, by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.

Hon. Ibeawuchi Alex in a message assured the newly sworn in council boss of the robust support of the party and their willingness to concert efforts in the cause of peace and betterment of Oyigbo LGA. He expressed confidence in Eld. Akara's ability to fulfill his campaign promises to the people of Oyigbo considering his political acumen, influence and wealth of experience having served in various political offices prior to this time.

Eld. Akara was urged to always recollect that power is transient and as such he should use his new office to distinguish himself by giving the dividends of democracy back to the people of Oyigbo through policies that will improve the standard of living of the people.

The Chairman of the PDP further urged the council boss to run an all-inclusive administration where members of his cabinet are given a sense of belonging and to also practice a healthy and resilient democracy which involves the inclusiveness of youths and women in his administration.

"Onbehalf of our great party, PDP here in Oyigbo, please accept my warm congratulations and best wishes as you accept the responsibilities and challenges of your high office". He said.

Hon. Alex also congratulated the Vice Chairman of Oyigbo Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Juliana Ngozi Okorie and the 10 councillors-elect urging them to work in synergy with the council Chairman stating that their victory at the poll clearly acknowledges their outstanding service to their respective communities/wards.

PDP OYIGBO LGA CONGRATULATES HON. ALBERT OKERE AS HE ADDS ANOTHER YEAR TO HIS AGE

The Peoples Democratic Party, Oyigbo LGA chapter congratulates Hon. Albert Okere as he adds another year to his age.

In a birthday message by Hon. Ibeawuchi Alex the LGA Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, he described Hon. Albert as a man with extensive experience in campaign management considering how he invariably worked round the clock and devising campaign strategies just to give the Peoples Democratic Party its landslide victory in the just concluded April 17th Local Government Area election in Oyigbo LGA.

Hon. Ibe Alex urged Hon. Albert to keep up the tempo and continue to serve as an inspiration to members of the party.

"On Behalf of myself, my family, party leaders and members I'm writing to wish you a happy birthday and to thank you for your service to our dear party here in Oyigbo Local Government Area. You are an inspiration, and I hope you have many more years to keep up the good work." He prayed.

Hon. Albert Okere is the erstwhile Director General of the PDP Campaign Council of Hon. Okechukwu Akara Nwaogu, the Chairman-elect of Oyigbo LGA.

AMB DESMOND AKAWOR GIFTS N1.2MILLION LAW SCHOOL GRANT TO FINAL YEAR LAW STUDENTS OF RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY FROM OYIGBO LGA.

The State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rivers State Chapter, Amb. Desmond Akawor had today gifted the sum of 1.2 million naira law school grant to final year students studying in the Rivers State University who are indigenes of Oyigbo Local Government Area.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Ibeawuchi Alex who represented Amb. Akawor noted that the grant will aid the beneficiaries to manage their education expenses and help towards the achievement of any other purpose incidental to the success of the law school program. He acknowledged that the essence of the grant is to promote 'shared prosperity' stating that this is the first time in history such magnanimity is being displayed by a notable personality in Oyigbo Local Government Area.

Hon. Alex further advised the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the grant in order to achieve its purpose.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ogbuji Chibuzor Best thanked Amb. Akawor for the act of benevolence exercised towards them.

"I must sincerely appreciate the effort of His Excellency for coming to our rescue. No one has actually done this kind of thing for Oyigbo Law Students, but today he played a fatherly role to us when it was mostly needed."

The beneficiaries of this kind gesture are;

2. Nwankwo Favour
3. Uchenna Victor C.
4. Kanu, Christian Chinweotito
5. Nwuche Daniel
6. Emmanuel Wisdom C.

Each beneficiary of the grant got the sum of N200, 000 only.

As the date draw nigh for the official commissioning of the newly built and adequately furnished Community Secondary School, Obeakpu-Ndoki in Oyigbo LGA, notable sons of the area such as the sole administrator of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority who doubles as the State Chairman of PDP Amb. Desmond Akawor in company of Hon. Felix Uche Nwaeke, Hon. Okechukwu Akara Nwaogu (Chairman-elect Oyigbo LGA), Hon. Ibeawuchi Alex (PDP Chairman, Oyigbo LGA) and other personalities went on inspection tour of the project to ascertain the level of job done so far.

This is a project of the Rivers State Government under the current administration of Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike the Executive Governor of Rivers State.

This investment in education will contribute to social stability and drive long-term economic growth in the area
