HON. IBEAWUCHI ALEX CONGRATULATES HON OKECHUKWU AKARA NWAOGU, THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF OYIGBO LGA, THE VICE CHAIRMAN HON. MRS. JULIANA NGOZI OKORIE AND THE 10 COUNCILORS OF THE AREA
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyigbo Local Government Area on Thursday joined well-wishers, political stakeholders/leaders of the PDP in Oyigbo LGA to congratulate Hon. Okechukwu Akara Nwaogu the Executive Chairman of Oyigbo LGA, the Vice Chairman and the 10 councillors-elect as they were successfully sworn-in today at the Rivers State Government House, by the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
Hon. Ibeawuchi Alex in a message assured the newly sworn in council boss of the robust support of the party and their willingness to concert efforts in the cause of peace and betterment of Oyigbo LGA. He expressed confidence in Eld. Akara's ability to fulfill his campaign promises to the people of Oyigbo considering his political acumen, influence and wealth of experience having served in various political offices prior to this time.
Eld. Akara was urged to always recollect that power is transient and as such he should use his new office to distinguish himself by giving the dividends of democracy back to the people of Oyigbo through policies that will improve the standard of living of the people.
The Chairman of the PDP further urged the council boss to run an all-inclusive administration where members of his cabinet are given a sense of belonging and to also practice a healthy and resilient democracy which involves the inclusiveness of youths and women in his administration.
"Onbehalf of our great party, PDP here in Oyigbo, please accept my warm congratulations and best wishes as you accept the responsibilities and challenges of your high office". He said.
Hon. Alex also congratulated the Vice Chairman of Oyigbo Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Juliana Ngozi Okorie and the 10 councillors-elect urging them to work in synergy with the council Chairman stating that their victory at the poll clearly acknowledges their outstanding service to their respective communities/wards.
