At Unit Nine we are VERY proud of the pathway we have created and established in the local electronic music scene.
Drum & Bass specifically has been a HUGE asset to us as a venue and the local community. It's one genre that has found its feet in MK after many years away and we are proud to have been a nucleus in the modern day, in helping to bring huge names back to MK that you are now seeing on a regular basis. However, one thing we are proud of is the fact when these big names come to Unit Nine, they are supported by pure local talent!
Future Sounds of Drum & Bass was born in Covid as a platform to support local talent and we are proud that twice a year, we host the event which is near enough guaranteed to sell out! Selling out an event with just local talent is insane, which shows the community growth and support for Drum & Bass right here! People travel from all over the country to attend our events and this includes for Future Sounds of D&B 🤯
We decided to take a look back at the DJ's who have supported these big names to shout about their success and our successes in helping to make this happen.
ALL of these DJ's listed below have played Future Sounds of Drum & Bass or other small local events hosted at Unit Nine in the D&B scene. The list is extensive.
These DJ's either played their first EVER event with us or their first 'major' event alongside household names due to Future Sounds & the opportunities it brings. We’ve worked closely with local brand On The Decks who have also given plenty of support to the venue but also to the local scene. They have deservedly grown with us enabling us to help support even more upcoming talent.
