My Social Security contributions were made for over 50 years on every salary I received. I may not have been doing the work I wanted to be doing all of the time but I always had a job.
Trump wants the Social Security check to now (or soon) be referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment.” I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it.
The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." Why? Because Federal Benefits are generally granted by the government and can be eliminated or reduced by the government. However, Social Security is NOT a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes.
If you averaged $30K per year over your working life, that's close to $180,000 invested in Social Security.
If you calculate the future value of your monthly investment in social security ($375/month, including both you and your employers contributions) at a meager 1% interest rate compounded monthly, after 40 years of working you'd have more than $1.3+ million dollars saved!
This is your personal investment. Upon retirement, if you took out only 3% per year, you'd receive $39,318 per year, or $3,277 per month.
That's almost three times more than today's average Social Security benefit of $1,230 per month, according to the Social Security Administration. (Google it – it’s a fact).
And your retirement fund would last more than 33 years (until you're 98 if you retire at age 65)! I can only imagine how much better most average-income people could live in retirement if our government had just invested our money in low-risk interest-earning accounts. So what happened?
Instead, the folks in Washington pulled off a bigger "Ponzi scheme" than Bernie Madoff ever did. They took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking. They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently, they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer.
But is it our fault they misused our investments? And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it. Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity!
Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government.
Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it.
Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income.
99% of people won't cut and paste this to their timelines. Will you?

Judas Priest II: Parker by Eric Stephen Booth is a gripping continuation of a high-concept sci-fi saga that pushes the boundaries of science and morality. Set in the 2040s, this thrilling installment dives into the consequences of tampering with immortality, as Dr. Fernandez unlocks the secret to eternal life through the fusion of the “God particle” and human DNA. Just as he’s ready to unleash this groundbreaking, and dangerous technology, a deadly assassin android is sent to destroy everything. Booth masterfully balances cutting-edge science fiction with intense action and philosophical undertones, asking the question: should humanity live forever? Parker emerges as a powerful and enigmatic force in this futuristic chess match between creation and destruction. With crisp pacing, razor-sharp dialogue, and an escalating sense of urgency, this sequel delivers on every front. A must-read for fans of sci-fi thrillers that dare to imagine the cost of playing god. Five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Thrilling Sci-Fi Masterpiece

As a long-time fan of science fiction, having devoured classics and modern masterpieces alike, I can confidently say that “Judas Priest II: Parker” by Eric Stephen Booth stands out as a must-read for any enthusiast of the genre. Booth delivers a gripping continuation of the saga that began in 2019, propelling us deep into a future where the lines between science, divinity, and human ambition blur with thrilling consequences.

What captivated me the most is how Booth masterfully builds upon the concept of the "God particle"—a trope familiar in sci-fi lore—but infuses it with a fresh, chilling twist: the creation of hybrid humans whose DNA holds the key to eternal life.

If you’re a fan of speculative futures, bioengineering thrillers, and stories that challenge your perception of humanity's place in the universe, “Judas Priest II: Parker” is a must-read. I can’t wait to see where Booth takes us next.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fast-Paced Sci-Fi with a Conspiratorial Edge

If you enjoy novellas that throw you into the deep end and expect you to swim in alien slime, Judas Priest II: Parker might just be your next weird little obsession. This sci-fi sequel wastes no time with character backstories or hand-holding, which can make it tough to follow at times—but also kind of thrilling if you’re into fast-paced, off-the-rails storytelling.
I found myself grinning at the protagonist driving an old Tesla in 2018 (peak vibe), and I was absolutely here for the deep distrust of government institutions sprinkled throughout the story. Yes, it reads a little like a conspiracy theorist’s fever dream at points—but in the most entertaining way possible. If you like your fiction wild, fast, and a little messy, hop in.
4 stars for ambition, style, and unapologetic sci-fi chaos.

5.0 out of 5 stars A dramatic and chilling must-have book for sci-fi lovers!

Judas Priest II is a knock-out, standout, awesome sci-fi adventure with plenty of twists and turns and dangerous STAKES. Dr. Fernandez's mission to distribute the ability to live forever is a very intense moral and ethical idea that plays out in the coolest of ways on the page. I was riveted with every aspect of this book and am still thinking about the ending.

Moreover, I am a fan of author Eric Stephen Booth from this read forward. His writing style is exact and fast-paced. He puts you right in the center of the action, explains his worlds well, and produces such good (and dire) situations for his characters that you can't put the book down. With the jumping around of timelines and whatnot, it can be hard to keep the reader in the loop. But Booth has organized this scary story well, and it all is just epically GOOD.

4.0 out of 5 stars smoothly written science fiction

Dr. Francis Fernandez Jr. was the most famous criminal in Judas Priest, which was a place founded by ecclesiastical priests in 2045. It ended up being a place that collected criminals from different places between the stars. He did his research on humans and reptiles and manipulated their DNA. Grab the book to see how far he goes and what are the consequences. The book is a sequel so reading the prequel will give you better understanding. The writing style of the author is the best thing in the book. It's smooth and keeps you going. I see that the series has good potential with more explanations and events because there are a lot going on without explanations.

“All that is left is extracting these DNA cells from the hybrid human...” and with that, the chase begins.
Set in a future where science meddles with divinity, Judas Priest II: Parker dives headfirst into a world where the infamous Dr. Francis Fernandez Jr. teeters between genius and madness. His obsession? Infusing the elusive “God particle” into human DNA to create immortality. But just as success inches closer, an assassin android storms in, threatening to erase all traces of his work.
Eric Stephen Booth crafts a smooth and fast-paced narrative, blending cutting-edge science with theological undertones. Judas Priest, a once-holy refuge turned galactic prison, becomes the backdrop for a story where human-reptilian hybrids, ethical chaos, and a fight for eternal life converge.
The novel stands well on its own, but rewards readers who’ve ventured through the prequel. With its imaginative scope and philosophical shadows, Parker is a gripping chapter in a series that dares to question what happens when man plays God.
A promising sci-fi thriller that leaves you wondering: Should we live forever, and at what cost?

"I would recommend this book to people who love mystery and intrigue. I can not wait to read the whole book to find out what happens to Parker and the Plebs fighting this revolution.

The book captured and kept my attention. I wanted more. REJOICE my fellow readers!!"

The year is 2052. The War between Earth and Mars colonies have intensified with the propaganda of deceit from the Humans and Warmongers from the Reptilians; but, through it all, Parker's love for her hermaphrodite lover holds strong to the bitter end.

what if everything exist to the power of 10?

If "everything" existed to the power of 10, it would mean scaling various aspects of existence, such as sizes and distances, by raising them to the power of 10. This is a thought experiment exploring the implications of exponential scaling.
