Our cocktail this week is Satan’s Whiskers from The Spruce Eats

Ingredients:
* 1 ounce gin
* 1/2 ounce orange liqueur (Grand Marnier)
* 1 ounce dry vermouth
* 1 ounce sweet vermouth
* 1 ounce orange juice
* 2 dashes orange bitters

Steps:
* Gather the ingredients.
* Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
* Shake well
* Strain into a chilled cocktail glass
* Serve and enjoy!

Spoiler alert: it’s not what you expect!

Our delicious cocktail is the Hot Toddy from Liquor.com

Ingredients:
* boiling water, to fill a mug
* 4 cloves
* 1 lemon peel or wheel
* 2 teaspoons demerara sugar or brown sugar
* 1/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
* 2 ounces whiskey (bourbon, rye, Irish or scotch)

Steps:
* Fill a mug with boiling water and let stand for a minute or two to warm.
* Meanwhile, stick the cloves into the lemon peel or wheel and set aside.
* Empty the mug and fill about halfway with fresh boiling water.
* Add the sugar and stir to dissolve.
* Add the prepared lemon peel or wheel and stir.
* Add the lemon juice and whiskey, and stir again.

Raise your hand if you ever turned to Google in an attempt to diagnose your pet?! In this week’s episode we have enlisted our dear friends Katya Lidsky Friedman and Kathy Terlicher to solve cases using Dr. Google! How does Google compare to the advice of a doctor? Tune in to find out!

Our cocktail this week is the “Bacon Me Angry” by the The Spruce Eats

Ingredients:
* 1-ounce bacon-infused vodka* (instructions below)
* 1 splash maple syrup
* 1 dash bitters
* 4 ounces Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Hard Cider
* Garnish: brandied cherry
* Garnish: bacon slice

Steps:
1. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
2. Stir well.
3. Strain a chilled cocktail glass.
4. Garnish with a brandied cherry and a small strip of bacon
Bacon Infused Vodka:

- 375 milliliters vodka
* 1 tablespoon bacon fat, cooled
* Pint-sized mason jar with tight-sealing lid (a quart jar should hold a 750 mL bottle of vodka)
* Fine mesh strainer and either cheesecloth or coffee filter �
To Infuse the Vodka
1. Begin by frying a few pieces of bacon. Enjoy eating the cooked bacon and reserve the fat for the infusion.
2. Allow the bacon fat to cool for a few minutes.
3. Fill a clean mason jar with vodka and add the bacon fat using the measurement recommendations above.
4. Secure the lid on the jar and shake vigorously.
5. Allow the jar to rest at room temperature for about 4 to 6 hours.
6. Place the jar in the freezer for about 30 minutes until the bacon fat solidifies. Freezing will make the fat easier to remove in the next step. Don't worry, the vodka will not freeze.
7. Place cheesecloth or a coffee filter in a fine mesh strainer resting on top of a clean jar or bowl and slowly pour the infused vodka into the filter. All of the bacon fat should be caught in the filter and if some goes through, repeat this step until your vodka is clean.
8. Transfer the bacon-infused vodka into a clean jar with a tight-fitting lid. You can also use a funnel to transfer it back into the original vodka bottle.
9. Label the bottle as "Bacon Vodka" (so there are no surprises) and store it as you would any other vodka.

This week’s topic is population control among cats with the *pros* and *pros* of Trap, Neuter & Return. Tune in to learn more about this program that not only can help cats but other animals as well!

Our delicious cocktail this week is “The Tom Cat” from Food52

Ingredients:
* 2 ounces Hayman’s Old Tom gin
* 2 ounces mezcal
* 1 1/2 ounces dry sherry
* 1 1/2 ounces sweet vermouth (Antica is a good choice)
* 8 drops Bitters
* Ice cubes
* Dehydrated grapefruit slices for garnish

Instructions:

In a cocktail shaker, combine the gin, mezcal, sherry, vermouth, and bitters. Add enough ice to fill the shaker to the top and shake vigorously. Strain into two coupe glasses containing a few large chunks of ice and garnish with grapefruit slices before serving.
