There are a lot of things that one misses when you have been far from home for quite a while. One is our Good Friday staple which is the 'binignit'. Binignit is the Cebuano version of bilo-bilo or the ginataan.

Here in this video, I had to be resourceful and work with ingredients that are available in Canada. We do not have landang and sago. Thus, replaced it with the big and small tapioca pearls. Also, gabi (taro) is only available in some Asian stores and during my last run, forgot to buy one. So, replaced the taro with purple yam and my bubble tea taro pack.

I hope this gives you ideas on how to be creative in cooking!

The corn kernels with cream cheese made my baked sushi absolutely delish.
While the avocado made the no bake one really creamy! Insert drooling emoticon here.

Enjoy this as much as my husband and I enjoyed eating.
